We stayed for four nights, spotlessly clean, every possible facility available, really appreciated having an ironing board and iron.

Excellent, plentiful breakfast with lots of choice.

Very pleasant, accommodating hosts who have thought of everything and more that you will ever need to make your stay as good as it could be.

Value for money cannot be beaten.

Highly recommended we will be back.  


Excellent! This is THE place to stay in this area 

We have stayed here a few times now and as usual found the hosts to be extremely helpful.  The location is ideal as it is very quiet but not too far to go for evening meals etc.  Breakfasts were exceptional and the rooms had everything you could possible want plus more

Not our first time

Down visiting relatives on holiday and spent the night here  lovely place and  breakfast. Very nice place. The room was spacious with loads of additional extras including a fridge  with various snacks thanks would recommend 

One night stay 

When looking for a peaceful short or long break, people often overlook the beautiful South coast of Scotland. In some ways that is a shame, because it really is a wonderful neck of the woods. On the other hand, that is a big part of its charm & attraction. My girlfriend chose this quaint little 4 room B&B to stay at for a long weekend over Easter 2019. We had one of the front facing rooms, so at first I was a little concerned by the proximity to the main road. However, I soon found that the road was little used, and was therefore very quiet. The room itself was excellent; comfortable, quiet, bright & airy with good views of the countryside (and deer). The ensuite was a good size, well equipped, very clean, and even had a bidet. The king-sized bed was comfortable and adorned with teddy bears; I thought my days of falling asleep on a teddy were long past, but apparently I was wrong ;-)  The breakfast was top notch - you won't get better!  Fruit, pre-prepared fruit-salads, fresh yogurt, cereal, breakfast bars, excellent cooked breakfasts and more. There is off road parking, and Shirley (owner) and husband are very welcoming, friendly and discrete. There's lots to do locally, especially if you like quaint small villages, cafes and the seaside. Having said that, you will need a car or bike for the most part. So all in all, we can highly recommend Springfield. I've given it 4 stars in TA, but its more like 4.5 really. Enjoy!

Peace & Quiet with comfortable surrounding in the Glorious South

We were lucky enough that this place had a vacancy as we called without notice.
We usually go for the larger hotels but thought we would try a small B&B for a change.
Wise decision as this place was just lovely.
Lovely helpful owners kept their place spotless even tho this is pet friendly
We did not have a good view but as we just turned up without notice we didnt mind as our room was so cosy,big comfy bed,spacious en suite with great shower.
The room was filled with everything you could possibly need for your stay (apart from usb port)  full of personal touches to make your stay so comfortable. Good breakfast menu. I would be confident that anyone would want to visit here a second time.
Standards well above many of the expensive hotels we have stayed in.
