We thought the site and caravan were very nice apart from this time of year lots of mud not enough lighting at night the pub was nice but doesn’t open much due to staffing problems we were told we hired a caravan for 4 nights through booking.com  unfortunately on the first night after 45 min the gas ran out both bottles it was cold and we couldn’t cook also internet was down for a while so t.v problems both with site and van owners as t.v wasn’t straight forward then finally no tin opener.  The next day Simon in maintenance  was amazing a lovely kind friendly man who went well out of his way he sorted gas bottles he rebooted boiler then when we asked him if he could look at t.v he just said absolutely not a problem nothing was too much for him he is a credit to the company he is.. Stayed here for a couple of nights, Great location to explore the dales and lots of walks near by. We booked into the pool for after a days hiking, the kids were excited about it all day. However when we arrived back and were ready for our swim the staff had cancelled our booking without any notice and sent the life guard home. As such we couldn’t swim, extremely disappointing as the pool was the main reason for picking this site above others. Staff were not sympathetic or helpful in resolving and blamed us.

I would recommend the dales for a visit even in winter but avoid this accomodation.

Good location but unhelpful staff

Beautiful roomy lodge, clean and well equipped 
The site was good and well kept the pub was good and comfortable
The food at the pub was good
Could not fault it, definitely worth a visit for a relaxing break

Good relaxing break

We have just had a 3 night stay in a platinum lodge and everything was perfect, huge lodge and well worth paying slightly more, pet friendly as well. We had a meal and a drink in the pub when we settled in on the Friday , staff very friendly. food was very nice and hot!...just bear in mind the bar area is cashless.
overall a very pleasant weekend and well recommended

Bowland Fell Leisure Park

Lovely stay aside from a couple of things, the first being the main and the worst one. 
Upon entering our caravan with our three month old we noticed the stench of Cannabis, seeing as this was at about 5pm at night and we'd just traveled 7 hours in the car from London we thought we'd sort it out in the morning and thought maybe the smell would go by the morning, or maybe even it was some sort of cleaning product.
We woke up in the morning and it was just as bad, to then find a discarded joint butt in the sink that was the offending item. I've no idea how a cleaning crew missed this as the smell was just so obvious, and they obviously had not cleaned the sink as they would have seen it. Which was surprising as the caravan was immaculately clean.
This wasn't great with our 3 month old being around, imagine if he'd have some how gotten a hold of the butt and ingested it, i dread to think. 
We got a £20 voucher for the pub to spend which we thought great, trotted over there for dinner on Wednesday to find the pub inexplicably shut. Apparently its shut for some unknown reason on a Wednesday.
We also found a laptop and charger in the bedroom, which was also odd. So again leave me to wonder how much cleaning actually goes on, which again i cant understand as the caravan was spotless.
Our car got stuck in the mud out by the entrance and two of the chaps who work on site, Mark and Lewis, towed us out which we can't thank them enough for.
The onsite swimming pool is nice, quite small and intimate but very nice. 
The pub is also amazing, what a building, shame its not always open!



Nice stay for the most part

I've never been to Yorkshire and I was blown away by the views and breathtaking scenery. The caravan site was very nice. The club house/pub wasn't like what you get in a normal park holiday with kids entertainment every night but we didn't miss that as we were in bed early most nights having been out walking most days. The pub was a beautiful place to have a drink at the end of the day. They offered a small menu for food & it was reasonably priced. The views around the park were stunning. Our caravan was a gold plus caravan & we brought our dog with us. It was smaller than what we were used to but it was perfect for the 4 of us. Upon arrival it was very clean & nice to have the beds made for you. The park was in a good location. Overall we really enjoyed our stay & will definitely be going back. 

Beautiful holiday park in a wonderful setting

We have just returned from a relaxing stay at Bowland Fell. The staff are really friendly and the park is lovely and clean with beautuful scenery all around.  We stayed in a dog friendly caravan which was immaculate and very comfortable.  The local walks and a couple of drinks in the pub onsite made for a very enjoyable weekend! Thank you!

Fantastic weekend break

Excellent well kept site, small enough to feel private, yet big enough to enjoy lots of walks and the nature trails and open space. The little riverside walk is fab. Has all the amenities you need for a mini break, would have to plan in trips to the supermarket if staying for longer though, but has some lovely quaint and picturesque local villages too. Settle has a decent coop! Gisburn Forest is less than 15 mins in car, well worth a visit if you are into walks, biking or nature! Excellent for dogs, the on-site pub is dog friendly too. Pool is only small, but perfect to let kids have a splash (book in advance). Great site, will definitely return. 

Excellent location, fabulous site

Had a great stay at Bowland Fell Park. Very clean, quiet site with a small shop which stocks the basics. Staff very friendly. Excellent base to explore the Forest of Bowland which is stunning.  Gold plus caravan was very clean and had everything you need. TV reception was great and mobile phone signal good too.

A gust of wind caused a window to lock open, the maintenance lads came within 30 mins and fixed it, thanks chaps !! 

Had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back.

Excellent base for exploring the Forest of Bowland

3 night break in the Rathmell apartment.  The two bed spacious apartment is in a block of 4 in a converted barn.  The apartment is spacious and has lots of original features.  There were little signs of wear and tear, the cupboard from was missing from the microwave and the drawer under the cooker was really difficult to close.  However, the kitchen has everything you need but would benefit from a pair of scissors in the drawer.  In the main lounge the blind was missing and the bed in the double bedroom creaked as one of the slats under the mattress was broken.  Despite, we have 3 nights great sleep.  You won’t get cold either despite the extremely high ceilings, the heating system ensures you are warm at all times.

The apartment itself was clean and soundproofed, no noise from the adjoining apartment.  There is a separate bathroom with bath, overhead shower and the double room benefits from an en-suite with corner shower.  The standard of furniture is of high quality with solid oak doors and tables/cabinet. 

We used the pool, clean changing facilities and warm swim.  We also visited the pub that’s on site on the first night, good hot food and plentiful.   

The reception staff are lovely and welcome both checking in and leaving.  Emmett is the on site warden so felt looked after from start to finish.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
