Peace and quiet, just what we needed. A beautiful manor house, wonderful large bedroom, good facilities, delicious breakfast and a lovely host. They forwarded us the entry details as were late arriving and they were easy to use and access. The host met us in the breakfast room when we came downstairs and was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was so good. A really lovely one night stay that means we will return. 

Beautiful Manor House BnB

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay. 
Set within well kept gardens, the rooms are spacious and the Manor itself is gorgeous.
Lovely selection for breakfast (including cooked breakfast).
Great surroundings and the nearest pub is a 10 min walk (well worth a visit - again in beautiful surroundings).
Was going to go to a Premier Inn, but found this place instead and would recommend this place every time.

Fabulous place to stay

Really lovely quiet location very warm welcome from Matt...the comfies of beds and a great breakfast. Arriving after a trans Atlantic flight Apuldram was just what we needed...shame we only had the one night.

Peace Quiet and Comfort 

A large room which was extremely comfortable with views over the garden. No street lights or vehicles a great place for a 4 night staycation. We wanted good seafood and were unable to get a table at The Crab & Lobster a great local restaurant and on hearing this, Hayley, our host, contacted them, as they are good friends and they managed a lunch table for us on the following day.
The breakfast was cooked to order and it showed, we had a very relaxing few days.

Peace and Tranquilty

Very nice house with well-appointed accommodation but lacking the personal touch. No-one was available to welcome us or check us in - we were sent codes for doors instead - and in the morning slightly odd breakfast service with limited choices. However, extremely clean, pretty setting and very spacious accommodation with lovely views and location. 

Clean and spacious but impersonal

It is difficult to fault this accommodation.  Set in a traditional manor house within an historical estate there are only 2 bedrooms.  Both are huge and comfortable meaning that even if it is raining you will have an enjoyable stay.  One has a bath (up a flight of stairs coming off the bedroom) and the other a shower.  Both have outstanding views over the countryside from large windows on both aspects.  They are newly decorated to the standard of a 1st class hotel.  The 2 guest rooms have exclusive use of the front half of the house.  There is a large extension at the back where the owner lives but otherwise you feel you own the place - privacy is assured.  There are some self catering chalets in the grounds but we hardly noticed them apart from the opportunity walk in the beautifully maintained gardens. The manor is close to Chichester but well away from any main roads so you are in the heart of the country with deer in adjacent fields.  Indeed it is possible to walk into the centre of Chichester mainly along the Ship Canal in around 20 minutes.  Parking is within a few yards of the front door and the owner greeted us on arrival.  He was very helpful with directions for walking and you are likely to bump into him in the field tracks.  Breakfasts are served at a large table and the quality of the cooked breakfast is exceptional.  The manor is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and there are loads of walks through woods, arable fields and also along the harbours and creeks.  A high quality pub/restaurant is a 10 minute walk with other eateries just a short drive away.  We have already booked our next stay.

Lord of the Manor

The location was perfect for our one night stay as we were walking in the area. The owner met us on arrival and showed us to our rooms which were fantastic - spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed including a hot powerful shower. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty.

Excellent Experience

We stayed for two nights in mid August  mainly with the purpose of a couple of days on West Witterring beach. Our stay was simply outstanding from the minute we arrived to our departure . Fabulous room , spacious with some nice touches . Fridge large enough for us to stock up our picnic on our first day so as not to waste any time on our beach day. Wine glasses , ample tea and coffee , fresh milk , locally sourced water and would you believe - a torch ( which proved to be essential for our return walk across the fields from the nearby Crown and Anchor ) .

The location was superb , with views across the countryside and beautiful riverside walks  on our doorstep. This was a true old Manor farmhouse usually only experienced on Netflix period dramas .There was even a grass tennis court on the front lawn. A nice touch were the two steamer chairs placed on the lawn which we enjoyed with a glass of wine watching shooting stars and the Milky Way on our return from the local pub on both evenings.

Breakfast was adequate in the large farmhouse dining room with a choice of a cooked or light breakfast or indeed both.

Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We stayed on the two hottest days of the year and yet the room was cool and airy with the help of an efficient fan.

We had a perfect break which made up for the disappointment of losing our usual overseas holidays due to Covid . 9.5/10 and will definitely return . Highly recommended.

The perfect short break !

I cannot fault our one night stay in the Manor room,it provided everything we needed for a cosy getaway.The room was very large and obviously built in the victorian period with high ceiling looking out over views of the garden.Everything was provided in the room with a great shower room and good central heating.The full english breakfast was very well presented and tasted great,our host was very pleasant and left us to enjoy our stay to some degree it was like we were lord & lady of the manor for a night.Well worth a visit is the Crown & Anchor pub literally a ten minute walk away down by the quay serving great food.

Secluded manor house.

This was one of the most best B&Bs we have stayed in. Our children had booked it for us as a treat for our Anniversary. The location & house is perfect. We arrived to a very warm welcome & shown to our beautiful room. So peaceful & had the best nights sleep. The breakfast couldn't have been any nicer & again had a very warm welcome. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much.
