What an amazing place! Situated in a nice little Cornish town central to just about anywhere in Cornwall. Really clean, really friendly, really reasonably priced. I went there this time with the intention of staying for 4 nights but stayed for 7 which meant I was there for the carvery on the Sunday! All the staff with no exception are brilliant and the food is just WOW! Also as a disabled person I was really well looked after with help and understanding. Even discreetly carrying my food and drinks without embarrassing me. 
I just can't wait to get back there again! 
I have stayed there a few times now. So if you keep doing what you are doing and I'll keep coming back ok?

Yet another visit to Tyacks

Nice staff. Friendly. Helpful. Lovely brekkie. But soooo noisy. Doors banging early and late. Traffic noise from outside late into the night and the bands are WAY to noisy in the bar and so loud in my bedroom. Could hardly even hear my TV.  Could even hear the band thudding loudly  with  noise cancelling heaphones on! Loud music goes on way too late. It doesn't consider guests at all. Was hoping to try and sleep before about 11.45pm/midnight....but no luck. Very tiring trip as traffic and door banging woke me up around 6am.

Sam, Vicky and the team are excellent. Nothing to much trouble.
Excellent service from all staff.
We travelled from Wales, check in simple and efficient.
The price paid was very competitive and included full cornish breakfast and parking.
On site restaurant provided quality locally sourced meals.

Excellent stay.

We visited here on Sunday teatime. I have to say I’m really disappointed with this place. I asked for a little bit more meat as I was only given one piece of meat because of my diet I’m unable to have potatoes but I was told quite bluntly that I wasn’t allowed any more meat so I just had to have a little bit of meat and some vegetables and a bit of gravy we have been told before we are not allowed to go back. If we forget anything I found the staff quite rude And because of this we won’t be coming back for awhile I really do think they need some lessons and people skills although the food is nice it’s not very warm and it really did put me off. Don’t get me wrong I think it’s value for money, however, I think the attitude of the staff really needs looking at

Had the best cheeseburger and chips and sticky toffee pudding was amazing great service and so reasonably priced 
Staff were so happy and knowledgeable 
will be back soon to try the other food on the menu as there’s so much to choose from

9 years in a row now staying at Tyacks .Would nt want to stay anywhere else now .Staff always friendly and look after us really well , food is fab , our room is big , spotlessly clean and comfortable .Top value for money ..missing our Angel this time though 😢

We went to the restaurant for lunch and asked for the drinks to be added to our table but had to pay at the bar which is unusual, i had lager which was making the table wet there were no beer mats on any table so i had ask for some which they found with some difficulty. 
I ordered gammon steak £14.00 it arrived with three onion rings and some tomatoes but no chips apparently i should have ordered them as an extra at £4.00. but i wasn't told, they arrived halfway through the meal,  however the food was good and the staff who were all quite young were pleasant and helpful.


Lunch Review

Used the Tyacks for a cheap overnight stay.  Hotel and room was clean, the room decor was a bit tired, but who cares. The bed was comfy.  There was a band playing, but the noise stopped quite early.  Only downside was the Carlsberg was nearly twice the price compared to over the road. Staff very friendly and helpful.

A lovely stay, immaculate cleanliness all round. Friendly and helpful staff and excellent food.  The hotel is very well connected to the points being a maximum of ten minutes walk from both the Rail and Bus Stations with ample services connecting you to all local places.

First class all round.

Awful food, poor choices considering that we visited in in the festive season, we expected a lot more.The food advertised when we booked wasn't available. It was expensive for what we had . Staff were friendly enough, but I wouldn't return. It was such a shame, and not what we expected.
