I travelled to Blackpool for the Northern Soul Weekender. My weekend has been great and my stay at Douglas's guest house just topped it off. From the warm welcome, to the cleanliness and comfort of the room, to the fantastic breakfast and great chats about music. Its in a great location, end of the road turn right walk along the promenade towards the Tower and Shopping Centre. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. I'll DEF be back later in the year when I come to see the lights🤩

Before date of this (was airshow but was cancelled due to weather) but excellent service, perfect, was excellent place to stay, shame didn't taste the wonderful looking breakfast provided due to illness. Will definitely return to taste xxx

Douglas the owner was amazing, from greeting us when we arrived till we departed. He made us feel welcome as we visiting after we just got married. He made us feel welcome checked on us when we came back from our evening out, the breakfast was top notch and our room was perfect!!! We can’t fault him at all, we most certainly will be back

Amazing hotel

Lovely guest house well worth 5 stars, warm friendly welcome from Douglas, we stayed in double en-suite rooms 10 & 11 which were spotlessly clean & fresh. Had a great sleep the beds are very comfortable. Fantastic tasty full English breakfast - perfect eggs. 
Excellent central location down a quiet side street, car park only a 5 minute walk away.
We’ll definitely be using the Devon guest house for all our future Blackpool stays

Wonderful guest house

We have just returned from the Devon guest house and what a lovely stay we had. We were given a warm welcome by Douglas and shown to our rooms, double rooms 10 and 11. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and smelt beautiful. Beds were very comfortable too. My daughter is a vegan and as I had informed them beforehand they made her a beautiful vegan breakfast. Breakfast could not be faulted cooked to perfection with a lovely hot pot of tea and fresh orange juice. Location was great for exploring slap bang in the middle of the pleasure beach and tower. Could not recommend highly enough. Thankyou for your hospitality Douglas we will be back!

Brilliant stay.

A lovely well-run, clean and conveniently located guest house with excellent rooms. I had booked an adjacent guest house on booking.com and turned up late in the evening to find it was no longer open. 

Douglas, the owner of Devon Guest House was kind enough to offer me a room despite it being one of the week days when he doesn't normally take bookings. He really went out of his way to assist. He is by nature a very helpful person and runs his guest house superbly. He is also a trained chef so the breakfasts are expertly cooked which is a nice bonus. 

Thoroughly recommended as a place to stay. Parking is first come, first served in the street but I found a convenient and cheap car park just a short walk away for my three day stay.

Excellent well-run Guest House

We had a lovely welcome from the owner and we were very early but our room was ready so he let us check in early which was fab. Our room was really big and spotlessly clean. The king size bed was so comfy. Breakfast the following morn was beautiful.

Little Gem

Stayed here over the weekend (room 5), unable to find a fault everything was perfect from the check in to the room to the breakfast. Very friendly owners who would do anything to make you feel at home! Will definitely stay here again!!!

Unable to fault!!!

My husband & myself stayed here for 4 days. From entering the building we were greeted with a very friendly welcome by Paul. We stayed in room 5. Our room was beautiful and smelled fantastic as did the whole guest house. On our bed we had the cutest little elephants made up with towels. Which were brilliantly white and so very soft. The bedroom including the bathroom was absolutely spotless. The bed and bedding were clean and extremely comfortable, so much so that we didn't want to get out of it. We had the best nights sleep here. Breakfast was served at 9. The breakfast room was lovely, the table was set out perfectly. On my side plate, I had a little dress made out of napkins. My husband had a suit complete with tie on his, again made from napkins. There were many little touches like this. All attention to detail. There was a pitcher of fresh orange juice, and one with milk in. A big pot of freshly brewed coffee already on the table when we came down to breakfast. The toast was brought to our table just before serving the cooked breakfast, so the toast was fresh as well. We had cereal followed by a cooked breakfast, served on hot plates. Cooked to perfection by Paul. His partner Robert served breakfast, he couldn't have been more attentive if he tried. It was an absolute pleasure coming down to breakfast and having a conversation with Robert every morning. We never once felt like guests here, more like friends staying over. These 2 guys are friendly, welcoming and very attentive. Nothing was too much bother for them. They simply couldn't have done any more for us than they did. I would highly recommend staying here if you are a couple. Another thing I liked about this place was it was for couples only, which sometimes makes a big difference if you want to have some quiet time away. 

Paul & Robert we had a fantastic time in Blackpool, we loved staying with you guys and we seriously, can't wait to come visit again. Love from Sheena & Andrew. Xx
