The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We had everything we needed and it was a great spot for exploring a beautiful city! I would definitely recommend this property.

Easy to find and clear, helpful check in details. Lovely and quiet, spacious room in beautiful house. Felt like staying in your own luxury home away from the bustle of the city centre. Very stylish. Friendly welcome.

Beautiful B&B (although without the second B due to kitchen renovations). Gorgeously decorated and the most fantastic superking bed even in the 'standard' room. Amazing views from the top floor. Bigger and better-quality range of teas and coffees in the room than most hotels, plus fresh milk in a fridge on the middle landing. Incredibly helpful and responsive management. Can't fault it.

Cosy room and walking distance to centre city

Alex was amazing. Super friendly and very helpful! (We unfortunately didn't get to meet Tina this trip). Cute and comfortable room a walkable distance to several pubs and restaurants. City center is also walkable, just a bit farther out.

Really gorgeously appointed rooms, with extraordinary viewsbof beautiful Bath.

Very friendly and welcoming, had all I needed, clean, comfortable and helpful.  Would recommend highly.

Alex and Tina were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Great hotel for a short getaway, clean and comfortable and easy walking distance to Bath centre. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hill House! We went for a girls trip and had the best time, our room really made the trip and was such a great place to come home to after a long day of exploring Bath. Check in was easy and the entire place was extremely clean with fresh filtered water available. Thank you so much for making our girls trip so special. We will absolutely come back!

Absolutely wonderful! We stayed here for 3 nights for a couples getaway and we loved every minute.

Hosts are so warm and welcoming. Whole place is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were a culinary delight, with home made granolas and compotes. Full English breakfasts cooked to perfection. And the specials were a real treat.

We tried most of the recommendations on bars and loved them. 
Lunch at the Raven was fab, perfect pie and mash. The olive tree was also nice for a treat but probably not something you do more than once.

Recommend the historic walking tour and Roman baths, we also hired scooters which was a fun way to tour round a little more. Bath is hilly (I was oblivious to this when booking) so my poor knee took a bit of a beating but didn’t spoil the trip.

Recommend Bath and especially Hill House in a heartbeat. 

There are a lot of stairs to top floor bedrooms but the views are fab and the bed is so comfy!

Absolutely wonderful!

We spent two fantastic days at this wonderful establishment. Great room with a wonderful view of the city.  Douglas and Harry are amazing hosts and looked after us very well with a host of information on the area. Fantastic breakfasts with something for everyone.  Would heartily recommend and look forward to visiting again in the future .

Hill House Bath

Have just spent three days at Hill House visiting Bath and have nothing but praise. The location is superb; everything in Bath very walkable albeit back up a very steep hill! Our room was gorgeous - spacious, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very tastefully decorated. Harry and Douglas are amazing hosts - lovely people for whom nothing was too much trouble and Harry provided loads of useful info about Bath. And last but certainly not least -,what amazing breakfasts - delicious granola with a choice of fruit compotes, followed by either a full English breakfast or various other delicious cooked options.

Perfect city break

Exceptional hosts. There's nothing else they need to do. Bed and pillows super comfy. Room large with interesting features and a wonderful style. Spotless. Downloadable guide superb. Breakfasts were excellent and conversation around the table was enjoyable. We had a room at the front and there was no noticeable road noise. Harry and Douglas have everything in hand and it works very very well.  

Perfect Stay

Knowledgeable, passionate and friendly, Harry and Douglas were superb hosts. From arrival you feel like you've been welcomed to Bath and Hill House by invitation. Rooms clean and spacious - even though it was on the top floor. The cooking excellent and conversation around the breakfast table was great. Nothing I could fault. This is how to run a bed and breakfast. Amy and Ed.

Hosts superb

We chose this B&B after reading some great reviews and we are pleased to say they were correct! As first time visitors to Bath we received a lovely warm welcome and Harry provided us with a map listing great locations to visit. Douglas kindly went with my husband to find a car parking space. Our room was perfectly clean, spacious and the bed v comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble, we were easily able to grab more water, milk and biscuits when required. Breakfast was superb - very tasty indeed! The location of the B and B is within a very short walking distance of all the sights, bars, restaurants etc. Harry and Douglas are fantastic hosts, witty and funny and I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

Wonderful stay

Returned from a few night stay at Hill house and we absolutely loved it ! Harry and Douglas are exceptional
Hosts and can not do enough for you. 

Hill house itself was spotless, fresh towels and hairdryer included. Breakfast was lovely With a choice everyday and a very generous amount of tea and coffee to set you up for the day.
 
Location wise hill house of course is on a hill as the name suggests but it provides a lovely view of bath and is within walking distance of the town were you will find the Roman baths, pump room, shops etc etc 

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning to Hill house without hesitation. We also highly recommend cuddles with Jasper the dog.. he is not to be forgotten !

Fab stay!

Douglas and Harry are wonderful hosts, from the moment we arrived until leaving these guys cannot do enough for you. The guest house is elegant with wonderful decor and tasteful furniture throughout.

After trying to find a parking space for 15 minutes without success , these guys gave up their permit  parking space to enable me to park my vehicle. 

The breakfast is wonderful, from a full English using locally sourced products to daily specials, the home made marmalade is divine.

We stayed in the attic Room 6, it’s a very spacious room with a larger comfy double bed, and a huge separate bathroom with shower. 

We will definitely be returning to Hill House, Douglas and Harry made our stay a 5 star experience.
