We loved the room 
Very clean and the shower was amazing

Loved our breakfast

I had a very comfortable stay here- the hosts were friendly, the room was very cosy and I had a great night sleep. Breakfast was included which was great considering how much I paid for the room. I would definately stay here again when I am down in Ayr.

Room was good size and clean Food was well cooked and presented The landlord and lady were very helpful  the car park was easy to access .One had to cross the main road to get breakfast crossing near so no problem

My wife and I are seasoned B&B'ers we found the Ivydean  clean warm and excellent value for money. En Suite room had the usual tea and coffee facilities  Breakfast was cooked to perfection. I do not recognize the Ivydean from the previous descriptions. All in all,a pleasant stay and it will not be our last.

Excellent value for money!

Good Budget Bed and Breakfast

your not paying for 5* hotel

Although I booked the Ivydean a note on the door said if no response check in at the St Andrews Hotel which is opposite which I did. I have to say the couple did seem more interested in what was on TV than their customer but I was shown to my room at the Ivydean. The single room was clean and tidy but a little cramped but was adequate for my one night stay. It is on a very busy main road but noise levels were not noticeable. Breakfast was taken at the St Andrews & again meant crossing the busy main road during the rush hour, but there is a pelican crossing about 100 yards down the road should you not wish to take your life in your hands. Breakfast was acceptable,
For the price I paid, £30 for the night, represented good value as it was by far the cheapest I had encountered in three and a half weeks travelling around Scotland.
