great hosts. very warm, polite and accommodating. great breakfast. the location of the hotel is unfortunately negatively influenced by the adjacent road and traffic noise is very annoying. but i have experienced far worse hotels in this category.

It was a short stay at Sözer Hotel but I wish stay longer. I like the atmosfer of the Hotel.  Breakfast was excellent and the location is great. They have place for car parking as well.
It is fantastic. Not modern but you feel like you stay at your home. Thanks Mr Erol and his family. 

Great Hotel

We had a great time in this little hotel, none in the least because the very friendly people who run it. We had a nice big and inpeccably clean room, with a big and tastefull bathroom. The breakfast was quite good, with a pretty view of the beach. Too bad it also looks out on the crowded street. 
Other little disadvantadge was that it's a bit for from the centre of town. This is easily taken care of by a (cheap: 2 lira per person) ride with one of the countless dolmusses (they pass every 2 minutes), or a 15-20 minute walk.
The 20 minute bus to the best beach in the area (erduvan beach, ask the owners for more info, they'll help!) also stops right in front of the hotel, the beach in front of it is very little and not something you want to spend a lot of time on.

All in all, these little drawbacks could be overcome, and I couldn't find anything else bad to say about this friendly little place, especially at that price. All in all, very good value for money.

Nice little family style hotel, a dolmus ride away from everything.

We stayed here only one night unfortunately on our 2 weeks trip to the western coast in september 2013 ,  
We arrived in the late afternoon and luckily hthey had room , the motel is a little out of the town center, but worth it.  lovely ,clean friendly , great value 
highly recommneded

The best nights sleep and the best breakfast of our 3 weeks in Turkey bathroom facilitys and friendly staff were great. There is also a great view of the waterfront.The lights from the island accross the bay are quite spectacular after dark, car parking is available onsite we will definatley visit this hotel again.

Loved the Sozer. Probably the most comfortable room we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Turkey. Amazing hot shower. Soft bed ( found most Turkish hotel beds very hard) and great staff. Even though breakfast is served from 8-11 am they went out of their way our last day to have it ready by 7:30 so we could catch our 8:15 am bus. It's a little outside the main part of Ayvalik but it's only a 2TL dolmus ride "downtown" and they come extremely frequently. Highly recommended. 

Real gem

excellent location with sea wiew and pine trees, motel located at the center of city . sarımsaklı beach and cunda island  easily can reach taxi dolmus(shared taxi) and bus (every 10 min with 2 TL) .5-7 minutes walk to port and city center.
rooms were cosy and clean. ,rooms are enough big and ceiling was high. family run motel with a great hospitality. breakfast was perfect with home made jams, ayvalık olives and olive oils and ayvalik type tulumi cheese. 
if you want to have great experiment in ayvalik sözer motel can be a good start to feel local experiment.
