Arrived late and glad I had called ahead to book a room. Got lost walking from the bus station but a kindly local gave me a lift.

Stayed 2 nights initially in a twin room with shared bathroom. Fairly basic and the others using the toilet and shower were all men which was not so pleasant.
Moved to a fan double with attached bathroom the next day and this was more comfortable. Paid 450Bt.
There was quite a lot of noise from the guests in the room upstairs as the sound on the wooden floor.

The nicest part of the guesthouse is the rooftop terrace and a great place to relax and enjoy a cold beer and chat to other travelers.

The location is very good and can walk to most of the sights.

The restaurant next door was closed but good coffee and sandwiches for breakfast at the phuphayak coffee next to the shell petrol station about 5 minutes walk.

Nan is one of the friendliest towns in Thailand and such lovely helpful people. Well worth visiting.

Well located

Nan guest house is within easy walking distance of the bus station. Right in the area you need to be in to visit the main sites within walking distance.  Comfortable beds, good sized rooms, clean,  WiFi in the room, a roof terrace to use. Breakfast available.

Ideal location.

Arrived in Nan around 5pm with a booking for a room (double, they have no singles) and stayed two nights. It’s an easy 20 mins walk from bus station, and 5 min walk from main temples. The building is an old and very well kept teak house, with a wonderful terrace with hammocks and view to relax. Rooms are on different floors and are very large, with comfortable beds, clean towels and linen. Toilets could be better as shower wasn’t very hot, but clean. All in all very good value for money; only the staff was most of the time not there or busy with their children, which is totally understandable but they sometimes looked almost bored to have to attend guests. Also they started cleaning early in the morning shouting at each other and making noise, and when I kindly asked if they could lower their voices a little, they seem not to care. Maybe because it was sort of late in the evening, when I arrived I was told no food available in the restaurant, which is run by same staff and just in front of the guesthouse, in a lovely garden.

Beautiful rooms and building, staff attitude could improve

A very enjoyable stay at this homely little guesthouse in Nan. Run by a friendly Thai-Dutch couple, the location is perfect for exploring the sights of Nan. Rooms are small and basic, but comfortable. I stayed here a few years ago and will stay here again next time I'm in Nan. They also have some of the best information you can find about what to see and do in Nan and a very helpful timetable and transport guide for onward travel to other areas of Thailand. It's only a 15-minute walk from the bus station although the guesthouse can book a taxi/songthaew for you if you prefer. 

There was an error with the room I'd been allocated by booking.com, but this was quickly and efficiently resolved by the guesthouse. I'd advise booking directly with Nan Guesthouse to make sure you get the right room and at the best price.

Central Location Near Wat Phumin and National Museum

I stayed for two nights. Clean room, friendly staff, convenient location. You can get detailed information about what to do in the city from the reception. Just opposite they have a very nice place for breakfast. It was a very good choice!!
