Good value for money. Few minutes walk to Ximending night market. Nearest MRT Station is NTU Hospital. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Everyday free egg per person. If I go back to Taipei, this is where I’m gonna stay again.

Excellent Location

Backpackers Inn was the best hostel I’ve stayed in so far. Stayed for 4 nights.

I requested for a bottom bunk bed because of a foot injury, and while they gave me a top bunk, they gave me one that can be reached by stairs instead of a ladder. So it was perfectly fine. The bed was very cozy and the blanket was sooo thick, which was good because the AC can get really cold.

The free breakfast was good. Basically, you get coffee, tea, bread, jam, peanut butter, chocolate, and egg that you have to cook by yourself. There were a couple of days when there was tuna and mayo, which I loved. The free breakfast helps especially if you’re on a budget trip.

The common area was nice, with a rooftop view. The hostel also has coin laundry. Shampoo, body wash, hot and cold shower, and hair dryer was also provided, with a vanity area for the girls.

I just wish that they also provide towels with bunk bed accommodations, or at least have towels for rent.

Also, it was really noisy for a couple of nights during my stay there. I remember it was past midnight and a group of other tourists were talking and laughing so loudly in the corridor. Not the hostel’s fault but I wish they would emphasize the “no noise after 11pm” rule to the guests.

The best so far!

Staying in this place was incredibly good, clean and warm atmosphere. Nice people and perfect service. Good location, close to everything like train station. Everything was walking distance. Good price, value for money. Highly recommend!

Cosy place to stay

We looked at Booking.com to select this place.  Perfect location for sightseeing and a convenient stroll from the central Train/Bus station. The reviews and pictures were a draw card too.  And after all that, it still exceeded our expectations!

Can't beat it. Simply deeeeelightful!

This is i think 1 of the best hostel in taipei . Friendly staffs. And the location is strategic . You can stop to any nearest station , NTU hospital station, taipei main station . Just a short walk from those station . And it in the building exactly opposite the 228 park . Clealiness superb and privacy in the room awesome.

Price and location

We were not even able to take a better photo of this breakfast set because we started to dig in as soon as it arrived. It is far from traditional Taiwanese, but it definitely fueled up our day. It's really filling and YES! there's free brewed coffee and tea.

Even though we made a booking error (we checked-in super early), Ric (on-duty that time) fixed it for us so we can take a rest and they only charged us almost equivalent to early booking rate for that extra day.

I cannot say anything remarkable about the facility; the usual clean and comfortable room,  hot shower, hundreds of tv channels (90% mandarin), but the best thing about this inn is its location. The Taipei Main Station, CHK memorial and a number of train stations and tourist spots are not more than 30 mins walk away (national taiwan museum and 228 peace memorial park is literally just across the street!)



Great price, nice staff, perfect breakfast!

Nice cozy little room with private bath, shower over the sink.   Enterence through elevator in restaurant next door.   Usefull kitchen and lounge on top floor. Window opened up to a brick wall lol.
We stayed here twice, but will not stay again on the way back because they jacked there rates WAY up!!!
