43 reviewsI cannot praise this lovely family run hotel more highly having stayed there for several weeks this year. There is absolutely nothing the family would not do to make your visit happier or more enjoyable. Firstly the rooms are exactly as they look like in the photographs. No disappointments whatsoever and if anything they are better equipped than you would imagine. What's important too is that the family and the lovely staff make you very welcome indeed, just like a family member which is a bonus if you're away from home or looking for a new, permanent home in Switzerland as many are. Sure, the hotel is situated on a small quiet industrial estate just off the main road but it quiet and has a very good Italian restaurant in the building as well as an Aldi just 300m away for fresh food etc. In addition a walking path just behind the hotel takes you up into lovely pastureland and woods within a few minutes with stunning views over Lake Zurich. A car is necessary although the main railway station is a few minutes away by taxi but you can be in Zurich in under 30 minutes and in Zug in under 40 minutes. You are also part way to Ticino for the weekends as the main motorway is only 5 minutes away. Winter sports in Sattel are about 15 minutes away too. In short you are 30 minutes the "right side" of Lake Zurich to get anywhere. It goes without saying that this sort of luxury and quality of life would be super expensive in the centre of the city particularly for the longer stay and the place feels like home very quickly thanks to the wonderful owners and staff.
