Lovely stay in a renovated old stone barn. Comfortable room, well-equipped communal kitchen and grill, plenty of outdoor seating and a large greenhouse to have your meal in on chilly evenings. After dinner we had a blazing fire in the yard, with comfortable chairs arranged in a circle. They have a large heated cement tub in the barn, perfect for a relaxing dip after a long day. The farm has sheep, goats, chickens, cats and a dog that add to the laid back atmosphere. Very friendly owners who really go out of their way to make you feel at home. A new favourite place to come back to!

Liste Gård is not near any of Gotland's many tourist attractions, but it is worth a trip just to relax and feast on the coffee, tea and home-baked goodies that define the joys of Swedish 'fika.'  The hostel is also a gallery, an active lamb farm, and a pick-your-own flower nursery.  Hard to imagine this arrangement anywhere but rural Gotland, and that is the whole point.

It is a very characteristic hostel, it's renovated from an old barn for animals.
There is a heated indoor swimming pool.
The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped. It's possible to buy snacks, tea, coffee, etc.
They provide some bikes (no extra cost) that you can take for a ride in the countryside around the hostel, the landscapes are very nice.
In the area just in front of the rooms and the kitchen there are some tables, chairs and sofas where you can have breakfast or just chill.
The staff is very friendly!

We had a wonderful visit here, the landlords where very nice and polite, we hung out near the fireplace and had a lot of fun. There was an art exhibition, a spa pool and a green house, a nice experience for body & soul. Innefficiently soundproof between rooms. Overall a great place to be! We will most likely visit Liste Gård again when we come back to Gotland!

Nature near spa-like dream hostel

Liste gård is located in the countryside 30 min away from Visby. It’s a beautiful and charming place and probably at its best during summer heatwave. If the weather is cold however, so are the rooms. In our room the window was forced open and only a insect nest instead of a window. You can only close the window from outside and you need to know how to do it (not as simple as you could think, especially at night). I got bad flu and it turned out that many of the other rooms are cold as well. We had a small radiator in our room, but when we switched it on, the circuit breakers tripped. The beds are too soft and creaky. Breakfast (80skr/day) is good and worth the price. Bedsheet and towel 150 skr. Owner is very nice. With little improvements (some infosheet about the facilities, warmer rooms, better beds) this could be a very nice place.
