We had a nice stay at Bergabo. Really nice surroundings, and nice breakfast served. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Our first night away since having baby #3 to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We wanted to stay close and luckily we were pleasantly surprised with Bergabo. We booked the junior suite, which was a lovely little modern room with a balcony offering amazing sea views out to klädesholmen. 

The hotel is all on different levels with lots of conference rooms and a restaurant and terrace/lounge.

We were fortunate to have great weather so we took a walk up the hill to get an even better view. We were then able to eat on the terrace, which they had opened due to the warm sun. We were also accompanied by a live singer.

We opted for a bottle of wine and main only, which we started to regret when our main was taking forever to come. Just as we were about to ask, the waitress came to apologise that she'd not actually put the order through! Obviously we weren't too happy but ok. But then when the same food we'd ordered (only two choices on the menu!), was brought out to people who'd arrived after us, and clearly they still hadn't prioritised us, we were pretty annoyed. After 1 hour 15minutes later, the food arrived and was very tasty, although perhaps not enough. This did put a dampener on our celebration, the waitress compensated and we were satisfied with this. So we don't know if this poor organisation happens often , or whether we just got unlucky?!

So despite this, we had really wonderful night away. 

Nice cozy house but without a real bathroom

We lived in a little house with two bedrooms and living room &. kitchen. The house is very cozy, clean and beds were comfortable. but unfortunately there is lack of maintenance. Summer furniture is a bit broken, worktop lamp in the kitchen is not working,one time use plastic little spoons and there is only one glass for water. The place is not very cheap so it’s a pity.

The hotel is placed among trees rocks and the sea. Great apartments with all that you can need for an realxing stay. Well equiped kitchen with room for many. The ferry to the islands are just around the corner, which leave frequently. The only negative was all the steps.

Stunning views and charming hotel

Cosy but lack of maintenance

Great views and a relaxing place to be

Seems to be a place for family parties and conferences rather than a tourist hotel. Friendly staff. Got a large and functional apartment (no view), a bit outdated, especially bathroom needs refurbishment. Didn’t choose breakfast as almost the entire place was booked for a wedding party. Third star given for location. 

Attractive boat trips into the archipelago from the small harbour 12 min walk away. Walking is recommended as there is lack of parking space in the small town and at the hotel during high season. Excellent tourist information office in Skärhamn.

The sound proof isolation of the room is terrible, I couldliteraly hear our neighbors breath and it feltLike they were sleeping with us.. when they open and closed the door of their room all the walls of our bedroom were shaking. Positive point is the sunset view.. other than that I find it was expensive for what it offers.

Stayed two nights here in July 2022 and had a not so great experience. The room (402) does not look at all like the pictures on their website, and the bathroom was moldy and in very bad condition. The room was also smelling of mold. Let the front desk know about this and we eventually got the room quite heavily discounted. 

Will not come back here, can't recommend it..

Did not meet expectations 🚫

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night and sincerely is really overpriced and you don't get much for your money. Basically is just a place to sleep and there's nothing to do. The surroundings aren't beautiful and clean as well. A lady (guest) next to us had a problem with her keys to enter her room and couldn't find anybody at the reception to help her. Everybody working there had went home and left the hotel to the guests. Tried to call them and didn't get any reply. The bed and the room were ok 4/10 for the price I expected much more.
