Malens Strandpensionat

Try to get a room in the corner house uo the road. You can have the room upstairs with the balöcony which gives you an excellent view over the beach some hundred meters down the road. The gardens is perfect for picnic and wine dinner in the sun.
Familiy feeling in the main building with a small but nice breakfast. 
The place is very price worthy and I really recommend it when visiting Båstad. You can take a 20 mintes walk to the city center along the seaside. 
Also there is good jogging in the forest next to Malen.

Stayed for 2 nights.  Anneli was very friendly and helpful about what to see and where to go in the area.  A map was provided.  The room was spacious and the shower was very modern.  Flat screen TV and Tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the room.  Just a few minutes walk from the sea and a 15 minute walk round to the harbour.  Would definitely consider spending a longer break as very pretty place.
 Breakfast was variety of breads, cereals, meats and cheese with cold hard boiled eggs.  Good coffee and selection of teas.

We had a fantastic stay at Malens Strandpensionat in early July this year. Anneli provided us (a group of eight friends attending a wedding of a friend in Bastad) with great hospitaly!
This place itself has some seriously good charms and great looks and definitely added to our “Sweden experience”. I had a room with a big balcony and having my coffee, while enjoying the fresh Swedish seaside mornings was one of the many highlights of the weekend. The house is a two minute walk to the water and a 15 – 20 minute walk to the nice little harbour and town centre. 
In the morning a delicious breakfast was served. Being starved from good European bread in Asia I made a serious dent in Anneli’s supplies  

I often try to balance out my reviews, but honestly can’t fault this place. It is the fitting place to stay, matching the amazing environment of Bastad.

A very comfortable bedroom  SUPERB beds slept like a baby!! Very nice communal bathroom - for 2014 there will be even more en- suites - a delightful and attentive owner who is a real Anglophile - an excellent Swedish breakfast - very well situated - crawling distance from the beach and Malenbadet and walking distance from the main part of town - tack sa mycket pa en trevligt kvall

My wife and I spent 2 very enjoyable nights at the Strandpensionat in October at the end of a 3 week visit to Denmark. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, the breakast was excellent, and Anneli's hospitality exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend the  Strandpensionat for a relaxing stay in a very pleasant location.
