we are living one night in this hotel this hotel very beautiful hotel & very silent & quit place. room was very big & very clean staffs very helpful always there ready to help us. there food very good hotel bordering to bolgoda lake our room view bolgoda lake it is very nice. if any one need to stay close to colombo this is the place is the best we recommended.thank you for all of imma lake staffs for our high hospitality service

nice hotel close to colombo

Staff was very friendly but the food was really horrible and the pool also.You have a lovely view of bolgoda lake from your . there is a decent swimming pool and its need to be cleaned few table by the pool under the shade of some trees.

Food was horrible

Had booked Imma for two nights for a wedding. Arriving they gave impression they had no idea we were coming. Room did not fit description advertised on booking.com - no bathtub, no amenities, no safe, no WiFi... Not even a door key! Sliding door to balcony opened then would not close. Ants were by the table and floor was grubby. When querying the lock they said previous nights residents had taken the key. She advised us to shut out belongings in the wooden wardrobe. Location was good for wedding on Ruskin Island, but we were annoyed that the room just did not match the description at all. Only thing going for it was that room was spacious.

Nothing like description

I do understand as a budget hotel you can't have much expectations but this was beyond the limit. My Room literally had cracks on wall . And the tv was not functioning. AC was also not in a good shape, sheets were dirty and there was some kind of rat poop on my pillow case. Needless to say we checked out within few hours and went somewhere else. But the Staff seems to be helpful and nice. The location is very nice. 

Rooms are in very bad shape

I had booked a single night at this resort and the day before I checked in, one of my girlfriends who had checked in the night before had her room broken into at 02:50 am and the intruder tried to assault her. 
He wasn't after her belongings but made a bee line for her. She screamed and scared him off right out the balcony. She rang reception but they ignored her frantic calls which made us suspect that it was an inside job.
We managed to contact the police who sent officers down by dawn. The culprit was one of the hotel staff who scoped out the single girl traveler. 
The local police detained and dealt with the guy. 

Needless to say, I did not check into the hotel the next night. 
Do NOT check in as a female traveler unless you want staff members breaking into your room in the middle of the night trying to get under your clothes and feel you up.
