This place was perfect for a great holiday! It has a nice, big, clean pool, where you can swim and lay down next to it in comfortable sunbeds. Coffee and tea is available every time, and there is a big fridge what you can use if you van. Our room was clean and good condition, the owner was helpful and nice, they have many programs as well what you can try such as surfing, whale watchinng etc, and you can rent scooters if you want.

Perfect holiday place

We stayed at Riverside for 2 nights. the rooms where very clean and comfortable with fully working air con. It has a perfect location with only a 2 minute walk to the beach and local food and shops. Roy and his staff were always helpful and on hand to give good local advise. I would definitely advise a stay at riverside if you are in Mirissa.

Spontaneous trip to Mirissa

My girlfriend and I stayed at riverside cabanas with 2 friends in a large and confortable 4 people room (2 double beds). The price was good, but what really did for us was the amazing staff. Led by Roy a charming and helpful host, riverside staff were always smiling and helpful. The authentique Sri Lankan breakfast was also the best we had in Sri Lanka!! 

Great place with even better staff

Well located close to the center of Mirissa, a peaceful oasis awaits. Very pleasant rooms surrounding a garden with a restaurant.

Amazing stay at Riverside Cabanas!

Very nice place, good vibe and actually worth more than the price.. Spacious rooms and clean. The owner is very nice and friendly. Very good location and you can see plenty of monkeys around the garden.

One of the best places we stayed at, not because it was the best room or so, it was nice and fair for the price we paid, however the staff was super friendly and really wanted us to feel at home, great place. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Nice quite place - Super friendly staff

A note: When I got to this hotel, my room wasn't free (this probably meant that the room that was checked for me in my reservation), was actually already in use. So I had to stay in a family room for the first night. And that's not a bad thing, because I had space of four persons, while travelling solo. ;) But my stuff needed to packed again to bags after the first evening, because they transferred bags to "my room". I gave only three for the cleanliness of rooms (from 1 - 5), because room wasn't cleaned during my stay and bathroom floor didn't get dry between my showers.

You should order the Sri Lankan breakfast the night before

Nice garden and location

I booked this hotel for two nights through an online hotel website. When I arrived, I was told the hotel was full, and they didn't have a room for me. I told them I booked and paid for it online, and I was asked to see my online confirmation. I showed it to them, and suddenly there was an available room. Check-in seems very unorganised and inefficient. The guy I was speaking to didn't have a book or computer or anything in front of him with bookings or records or anything. While speaking to me, he was also on his mobile phone speaking to sommeone else about me arriving to stay.Anyway, once this little confusion was cleared up, the room itself was nice, and big. The staff were generally helpful,and the breakfast was nice. It's very close to the beach. The staff also booked a tuk tuk for me to return to Galle when I was leaving.The bathroom is kind of small, and when you shower, the water covers the whole floor, as there is no lip or anything to seperate the shower floor from the rest of the bathroom floor. But in the heat of Sri Lanka, it dries quite quickly.Overall, this hotel was lovely to stay in - they just need to improve their administration and organisation.
