The Victory is a pretty nice place to hang out in the evening and have some drinks! We met two locals and the owner there and it was a really funny evening! 
Good and the rooms also seems to be quite nice.

Friendly helpful staff

Rooms are not too big, but the hotel is just in the center of Kandy city close to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. Nice bathroom with hot water. Comfortable bed. Tea/coffee facility in the rooms as well. Good restaurant. The price is worth it.

Service is good, staff are so kind and smiley. The room is a little small and no view from window. The location is good and convenient to do sightseeing in Kandy.

The main purpose of our stay at this hotel was for transit. We were coming from Rambukkanah area in the evening and leaving on the first train the following morning to go down the coast to Bentota. After having no AC the previous 2 nights, we were pleasantly surprised to have that for a nice comfortable sleep. The staff were very kind, the payment process went smoothly, we were accompanied to our room to make sure everything was ok & we had a good night's sleep.There were a lot of small ants in the bathroom crawling out of every possible hole or crevasse... but once you ran water then they would disappear... otherwise everything was great.The best thing about this hotel is that it is only a few minutes walk from Maradona Railway station. So it is perfect for people travelling south down the coast or going east to go inland.

My husband and I had high hopes for this pub, there are not many places to drink in Kandy as it’s the holy city and Lonley planet recommends. The first clue something wasn’t right was when the staff refused to give us a bar menu instead naming drinks, but we chose from that and the drinks were nice. We decided to come back tomorrow paid our bill, and went to the toilet, came out to the staff shouting we hadn’t paid, and really angry at us. We explained we had but they were really angry. Eventually we realised they had forgotten to charge us for a shot of gin. We hadn’t realised, but they continued to shout with everyone in the bar watching. We tried to explain that had we been trying to get away with it we would not have stopped to go to the toilet, and of course we would pay, but they were still angry although it was their mistake. When we paid I realised they had brought me the most expensive gin when I’d asked for a lower cost one. We had left a good tip and asked that to be taken from the second bill, which was again greeted with shouting. I know they don’t have much competition, but it’s no excuse to be rude.

Poor customer service skills

We stayed here for one night. The rooms are dark and small. We had a window but the glass was textured so you can’t look through. Not much to see anyway as it’s facing a wall from the building next door. The bed was very squeaky which was the source of some fun but not something we look for :) The pub upstairs might seem nice but the staff is terrible and they force people who walk past to go here for a drink which doesn’t really add to a nice atmosphere. The location is very central but that’s really the only thing they score points on. Avoid this place.

Good location. Price is for location.Facility is not bad but no worth for price.

The service is totally useless rice was served after 40miniutes  and on after being reminded ...please don't lie to customers as well and don't treat locals and foreigners in two different ways.. that is bad ..
Don't loose the quality you'll had some time back
