Family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel provides everything you need, to a clean standard. The restaurant is reasonably priced with good food and live music. Attentive staff. Overall a very positive experience and great value for money :)

Great value for money. Everything you need

When we entered the hotel we felt like an old luxury bungalow . It's quite and calm place. This hotel is very close to Dalada Maligawa . You can walk to Dalada Maligawa it takes like 15 minutes . The staff is also  very helpful . Food is excellent .Comfortable rooms . Very clean place . It's worth for the price we pay . We highly recommend this hotel .

Fantastic Restaurant, Delicious Food, very friendly staff. Superb Location, I highly recommend.

Recommend Chef Special Chinese Fried Rice with
Egg, Chicken,Beef,Pork,prawns,Cuttlefish,Sausages.

Food Quality Lake Reach Hotel Restaurant and Pub Kandy

We were searching an accomodation in Kandy quite late at the day and found Kandy Lake Reach Hotel. We got a very good last minute offer. The owner is very friendly. The room was clean, nicely furnished and it was a good price value. The breakfast was also delicious with fresh fruits. They also have a driver accomodation. We were fully satisfied.

Just an OK hotel with basic necessities. Manager was helpful though because he gave us a room on very short notice. Breakfast was good and room was OK too. Wi-fi was good and AC also worked fine. Bathroom was clean

Not too shabby

Dirtiest hotel ever with no hot water and bugs everywhere . No blankets. Colonies of ants smashed on the floor :). Broken lights. The employees (don't know if they can even be called that) could not communicate properly with us and had no idea that someone booked in their hotel.  They were surprised to see us 😂.

Terrible

Lets start with the good points.
1 - they had a room over a very busy weekend
2 - the aircon worked
3 - the wifi worked
4 - it was relatively cheap
5 - nope, can't think another one, and 1. wasn't really a plus!
The bad points.
1 - the shower didn't work in the 1st room, so they spent a good hour or so coming in and out of our room, not saying anything at all
2 - when we moved room I had to personally fix the bed which had a wooden slat missing
3 - we had to ask for bedding
4 - the room was tiny
5 - the room wasn't particularly clean
6 - the coffee took an age to come and was comfortably the worst coffee I have ever tasted
7 - the kitchen (opposite our room) looked filthy
8 - the view was of a brick wall
9, and this is the clincher - not a single member of staff smiled at us, or made us feel in any way that we weren't a burden on their precious time. In a country filled with wonderful, smiley people, this felt dismal to an extreme. When we paid the bloke made a private phone call as he was taking the money from us, it was probably the worst place I have ever stayed in. Thankfully the wi-fi worked so I was able to book somewhere else and leave as quick as possible.

We stayed the hotel in most busiest period. Kandy Perahara season. Comparatively star class hotels this is more than enough.more valuve for money.when we entered the garden we felt so relax.seems old luxury bungalow type house converted in to the  hotel.rooms are clean with all basic amenities. Clean bathrooms with hot water. Even though few people work there. They were very helpful and quick service. Hotel is very close to Kandy Temple.highly recommend for budget travellers and locals who looking for comfortable stay in Kandy.
