This place is definitely a piece of heaven. The owner picked us up from the airport over a fee and we can’t thank him enough for that. The entire place is absolutely gorgeous, the food is brilliant, staff is very helpful and the view is exceptional. I could just sit and stare at the beautiful view for hours. Full privacy and a private pool just for ourselves. Homemade food and fruits from the garden, not sure there is anything I would add to this gorgeous villa. Absolutely love it.

Honeymoon in paradise

Tea heights was our first stop in Sri Lanka and we couldn’t have hoped for a better welcome to this beautiful country. 

The house itself has incredible views and a feeling of calm tranquility, perfect for relaxation. My family are keen birders and were constantly enthralled by the huge diversity of bird life flitting between the trees.

The pool is among the largest in Kandy and provided hours of fun for the children and adults alike. It’s also surprisingly cool and provides a welcome refreshment from the heat.

Thilina, his family and staff, are warm and attentive, providing whatever is needed to make the trip spectacular. Don’t pass up the chance to visit the cliffs at sunset or tour the plantation, both are wonderful extra experiences that will enrich your visit.

We were fed like kings with a variety of delicious Sri Lankan dishes and a breakfast that was second to none.

I wasn’t sure whether the reality of Tea heights would live up to the beautiful images I’d seen but in fact it surpasses itself.

Incredible place to experience Sri Lanka’s natural beauty and famed hospitality

Tea heights is a true gem niched in the middle of some plantations teas.
The scenery all around the villa is just spectacular and an ode to nature and beauty.
The house itself, with its minimalist and spacious design, feels like it is merging with its luscious vegetal surrounding.
The atmosphere is propice to “luxe, calme et volupté”, un endroit idéal pour se ressourcer et se délecter de tant de beauté .
Thilina the owner and his niece Omesha who welcomed us took extremely good care of us.
The food was delightful and and occasion for us to discover some new flavors.
A real unique place from which to discover Kandy and its surroundings I highly recommend!

A wonderful place for unforgettable memories

We just spent 4 nights at Tea Heights Hotel and we were just amazed. From the moment where we reached the hotel, the view from the living room/rooms let us without a word but with a big smile. 
The hotel is surrounded by the tea plantation and forest. We only can heard the birds and prayers from the temple. The rooms are large, clean and elegant.
We received a warm welcome by Thalina, the owner of the place, and his family without mentioning Pathila. Also Thalina drawn our attention by sharing about his country, traditions and culture.
The meals were cooked by Thalina's mother who make us discovered the tastes and flavors from Sri Lanka. 
The best is to go there for understanding all the feelings that this place brings to you.
I definitely recommend this hotel for your trip in the center of SL.

Not enough words for describing this little piece of heaven on Earth

At the top of a height, surrounded by teaplants, fruit trees, spice & coffe trees is a most wonderful place.
We stayed in a beautiful villa with mostly glass walls overlooking a magnificent view of the nature. Outside is a spacious private pool. 
Thilina (owner), his staff and family were very kind enough to help us understand and appreciate their local nature, culture and food. In the most generous way we were invited to a "walk-and-talk" fruit/spice/djungle tour that ended with a visit to a magnificent temple with an entrance to a vast cave system.
During breakfast and dinner we experienced a large variety of local cuisine, all with homegrown or locally sourced ingredients. During our last night we were invited to a cooking class with the Thilinas mother and her sister. Unforgettable!


Amazing place - wonderful people

We had such an AMAZING time at Tea Heights! The location is breathtaking and allows you to feel 100% relaxed. The house (which you have all by yourself) has everything you need and with the best thinkable view. We were very welcomed and taken care of by the lovely hosts - they took us on a Village tour that was GREAT and we learned alot about the surroundings and also took us to a stunning Temple which they opened up only for us - all free of charge. Can highly recommend! They took us to a viewing point for the sunset which was also one of the highlights. Overall they were super accommodating to everything we wanted and needed. Have really nothing negative to say about this place at all. If we ever return to Sri Lanka we’ll definitely re-visit!

A true PARADISE - can highly recommend!

We spent 2 nights here and wish it could have been longer! Thalina and his staff were so hospitable and made our stay so memorable. Thalina took us on a free tour of the village showing us the tea, spices and an amazing 14th century temple! The food was also incredible and we had a lot of Sri Lankan delicacies. Could not recommend this experience more highly, cannot wait to return!

AMAZING stay, do not miss this! 

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Rather than a boutique hotel, it is exclusive use of a villa, private pool and outdoor terrace restaurant with wonderful attentive staff on a private tea estate. The atmosphere is incredible - the villa has floor to ceiling glass panes so it feels as if you are sleeping in the open hill country. The sounds and sights of nature are spectacular - fireflys, birds, crickets. Dinner was lovely as was breakfast.

Sadly we only stayed one night as my boyfriend is a diehard surfer and couldn’t drag himself away from the sea for the extra night. If you have time, the staff will take you out on the tea estate and a tour of the local area which I think would be a wonderful experience.

Highly recommend - don’t miss if you are staying in or around Kandy! 

A truly special place 

This house is set on top of a hill at a tea plantation. The modern house is stunning and super clean with floor to ceiling windows that look out over the jungle-like setting. 
Host Thilina took us for a walk around the plantation that is also host to all kinds of spice trees. My tween daughters loved learning about all the ayurvedic/medicinal properties of the different plants and fruits.
Many other things to do here too like watching sunset on top of a high rock with sweeping views of the valley or a visit to Kandy.
Breakfasts and dinners were delicious!

Gorgeous house, lovely host, quiet country setting

We spent four days at Tea Heights, a wonderful place surrounded by the Kandy jungle, wildlife and monks chanting from the local monasteries.
The room has the most wonderful views and the pool and gardens are stunning.
Thilina is a wonderful host very knowledgeable and passionate about his home and all the spices and produce growing on his land and the history of Sri Lanka.
Every evening we had delicious home cooked curry from Thilinas Mother, beautiful Sri Lankan cooking using all local ingredients.
We stayed in Sri Lanka for two weeks and traveled around and Tea Heights was our favourite place...
