paid 118$ for sleeping in a dirty filthy hotel. the only good thing is its on beach. thats it. dirty room, no elecrticity in bathroom, no flush working, no hot water. it says it provides WiFi. however wifi works only in restaurant

better to find another one instead of this

Paid over $100 a night for a room with NO hot water, NO
Wifi and the room was falling apart. BAD SERVICE in the bar/restaurant. Only good thing was the lady who checked us in was lovely. Place needs to be bulldozed. We went down the road and paid a extra $10 and stayed in an amazing room. DO NOT STAY HERE.

GROSS & OVERPRICED!

In the end, after waiting for more than an hour for a clean room, we went in just to discover that they have NO hot shower. The staff at the hotel told us that they were out of rooms with a shower. We left immediately and found a superb hotel just a few minutes up the road.

Noisy, Dirty and rude staff 

Ordered the burger with fries and a salad. It tastet bad and i got food poisoned after it. They also serve seafood there, hopefully this is kinda fresher(?) 
Nothing more to say. Just do yourself the favor and do not go for eat there!

We stayed only one night (thanks god we did not book more). The first experience was that they wanted to charge us double the price than the price at the booking websites, even if It was los season with monzoon. the room was dirty, smelly (se bought some inciense to hide It), old like from 40 years ago without 
Taking care if It. Also during the night we found there was a roof leak and to get to the room was difficult as there was no light at all. Do not make the same mistake as we did

Skip It if you can

We are never complaining but we thought to give this massage to other Travelers who is going to stay in  this worst  place and spending lot of money.We checked in late evening and we got very dirty room with Dirty Bed sheets and Blankets( Not Washed). When we complained to the Reception simply they said they are willing to refund our money with out trying to do anything.Our humble request was two bed sheets (WASHED ONE) to sleep my children even a floor because bed was so dirty.They refused it and we were helpless with small kids during mid night. Finally we found the manager and he gave us washed Blanket.
Bath room was so dirty and smelly.After 10.30pm they are not serving any thing even a water.Staff and service was terrible. We were there few ours and left very early morning.
My opinion is when you plan to stay in Hikkaduwa   there is plenty of choices are there.When you go threw this Hotel online reputation its below 6 because of the staff and the service.I have seen in TripAdvisor some travelers also mention the same issue in this foram.So think twice and go avoid this place.

Think Twice Before you go

Family of 10 ate lunch here. The Devil Chilli pork is highly recommended for those who love your meat with a chill beer. The place is suitable for children as there is ample space to move about. The restaurant is right by the beach side and view is really good with clear, blue water. The washroom is clean and wait staff are courteous. Food on the whole was good.

Lunch in Langka

It was amazingly invigorating and yet also calming to eat a magnificently delicious sea food platter right beside the ocean, hearing the waves against the shore, smelling the sea and being cared for by a lovely young waiter called Parveen.
Parveen was always available and pre emptive of any possible needs, which included appearing with a lemon scented hand bath following our crab and lobster!

Everything was so spotlessly clean, always a huge plus!

Delicious sea food platter by the ocean at Mamas

i highly recommend the mamas bar for chilling along the beach side with refreshing drink while waiting for the sun set,beautiful view,exceptional level of service from .Mr prakash and Mr.Ramesh the managers and staff are very friendly and accommodating,food was excellent and very affordable,a must visit.

We absolutely LOVED it at Mamas! We found it by accident when looking for a quick drink and ended up staying there for hours, even getting free chips! We went back the next day and were treated to a free experimental cocktail created by Ramesh the manager and then came back AGAIN on my birthday where they went the extra mile again for the occasion with an amazing cake!!!
Prakesh and Ramesh and all the staff were perfect hosts and made our family feel so welcome.

Great cocktails. Amazing food. Wonderful views and friendly staff.

100% recommend this place if you’re heading to Sri Lanka!
