The owners are very friendly and helpful, late check out is also no problem. Good accommodation for hiking the Adams peak. From here it takes about one hour.
We would stay there again. Really recommend it. WiFi  is not the best there.

Really cheap and nice homestay

I really enjoyed my stay at Niwasa House. The hosts are super friendly and helpful and the meals they prepared for us where amazing! The rooms are also comfortable, spacious with a nice view at tea plantations. The location is also very good, close to the train station. There are many shops and restaurants in the surrounding. Would definitely recommend this place :) 

Great place to stay in Hatton! 

Lovely home stay. The family were so welcoming, taking us to Adam’s peak and waiting at the bottom for us for four hours and showing us the sights on the drive back. We also had a lovely home cooked meal of daal curry and chicken. I left my towel in the room and the gentleman came to the train station to bring it back to me. Absolutely lovely place, felt like home!

Lovely place to stay

We just left the house and we already miss the family!! We arrived really late at night (2 in the morning) but the owner picked us up from the railway station without any problem. Anyway the house is 800 metres from the station. The day after he dropped us to Adam's peak and patiently wait for 4 hours. We also were very wet after the walk because of the rain but he let us have a shower before goon got away, offered us tea and drop us to the supermarket and again to the station without problems. We really felt like home with his wife and beautiful children around playing and singing. I was really happy to meet such nice people. Thank you very much, I will see you again for sure!!

Felt like home

We stayed 1 night in order to trek Adam's Peak. The owner was our shuttle to and from the base and it was super easy to organize at an additional price. And it was well worth the price. We were greeted at the end of the trek with water and a huge smile! 
The dinner the night before was a home cooked dahl curry which was delicious. Breakfast of fresh fruit and toast was enjoyed outside overlooking the tea plantation.
The room could have done with some updating/cleaning as it was a tad moldy but given we were planning on only taking a nap and heading up the peak it was perfect and at a great price.

Great step towards Adam's Peak

Stayed here for one night. A bit pricy for what you get. The room was quite small, could do with a bit of paint.. Room door did not close properly. Ok for a quick stopover at Hatton, but nothing more, good location very close to the trainstation.

Nothing special

In the raining season, the humidity of the small room we had was making it not confortable enough to stay more than a night. The bathroom was the smallest ever and the water not even warm... The service is ok, but I would not recommend that place.
