After driving 6+ hours to the place, I was denied accommodation because I am from Sri Lanka. I was left frustrated, having to look for alternative accommodation on the day of my stay. I don't if 'racist' is the right word, but even if you are a foreigner, think twice whether you want to patronize a place that discriminates based on race/nationality.

Disgustingly Racist

An okay place for a budget traveler. On the main road and city centre surrounded by the most happening area of town. Could be more cleaner. Stayed in a double room with balcony. Linens, curtains and table clothes are not clean and have stains.

Okay on budget

Four of us stayed in the family room. It had a large double bed, another single bed and a couch which could also can use as a bed. Room was clean. Very spacious than expected. Had multi plugs where we could charge our phones easily. The washroom was clean, and with hot water. 

Host was very kind and helpful. And yes, they have two lovely German Shepherds !

Excellent Service

i stayed 2 nights 2019 march it was perfect for travelers  It's easy accesible from the train station (5-10 min walk). They serve food, but we ate out to be amongst other people. There is free wifi,We had some nice pics but couldn't upload them....

best and very cheap rooms with Hot Water, with Towels,

After the long train ride from Colombo to Ella of 10 hours I was looking forward to a hot shower and was very disappointed to find out there was none. The floor was not clean. No towels, no toilet paper and no toiletries. When I asked for help with something being broken in the room they said to be back and never did. For being a guesthouse I did not feel like a guest at all.

No Hot Water, No Towels, No Wifi

We booked a low budget room but be warned they show no pictures of these rooms and they come with no towels + toiletries, no toilet paper and no Wi-Fi!
Our door didn't lock from the inside and brought this up on arrival only to have nothing done about it. 
The room was also run down, peeling paint and a dirty bathroom. Also very poor lighting in the room. 
Hostels have better standards! 

Regretful stay, deceiving pictures

We had the budget room (the one with the red floor) and it was like a ballroom, so big. It had its own balcony with comfy chairs. The common area is also a nice place to hang out ant it has a little library. From the common terrace, you have a great view on ella rock. It is right in the center of ella, so all shops and restaurants are close by. It's easy accesible from the train station (5-10 min walk). We almost had the entire guesthouse for us allone. They serve food, but we ate out to be amongst other people. There is free wifi, but very slow. We had some nice pics but couldn't upload them....

big room, large common area

旅馆位置很不错，在去小亚当峰和埃拉石的交界点，楼下就是镇里吃饭的地方和信息中心，那里人很认真负责，信息都给的很全，风景不错，卫生干净，有两条大狗成天要吃的，怪可爱的。唯一的不足就是觉得老板有些计较呵呵。大概淡季心情不好。Great location，gives easy access to small Adam peak and Ella rock. Viem in the room was truly amazing. It's clean and tidy place, quite comfortable.
