Beautiful and peaceful place with an amazing reception and hospitality. Spectacular view and fenomenal breakfast. Fully recommended 😀😀😀 So happy we found this hotel with my fiance🏳️‍🌈 and had chance to spend here a few nights. It is located close to Gijon and Oviedo but far from tourists and summer crowd. 

We were at Hotel El Mirador de Ordiales in September and have been searching for the words to describe it ever since. Can’t do it justice.  It made me think about the word “wonderful “.  This place is just full of wonder. If you are an artist, a lover, gardener, photographer or just looking to get away, this is the place to be.  

It is up in the hills, 15 minutes from the busy Asturian town of Pola De Siero.  Each morning brought fresh views as the mists below cleared, first to reveal little islands of hilltops and then the expanse of Asturias across to the Mountains of Leon.  All framed by the vast variety of plants in the gardens.  

The room was excellent, very clean and comfortable.  The breakfasts were fulsome, Asturian, varied and locally sourced; more than sufficient to get you through to the afternoon siesta.  Maria was a truly great hostess.  They don't serve dinner but we find that a plus, preferring to choose from the local sidrerias, restaurants and bars of which there are an abundance in the town.

They offered different choices for breakfast - and those tortillas were unbeatble! Maria is a wonderful cook.Just ask for what you want.

We had our little dog with us which they were happy to accommodate. Rural location about 5 miles from the nearest town.
Lovely hot water and plenty of it for a bath.Bed was good but a little too firm for us. Highly recommended.Maria's a lovely woman and her husband,Valentine, is chatty and most interesting. ANd the hotel was spotlessly clean.

There are not enough superlatives to convey the magic of El Mirador de Ordiales.  

It starts, but does not end, with the scenery.  Layered mountains, many still snow-capped, rise up from lush green valleys.  The sound of cowbells and birdsong rings in your ears.  The air is crisp and clean.  Perhaps best of all is that all of this can be enjoyed without sacrificing proximity to the charms of Oviedo and Gijón, should you decide to venture out.  Pola de 
Siero, just a few kilometers down the road has more than adequate markets and restaurants.  The overall sense one feels is tranquility and gratitude.  It is a very special place.  

The house is set perfectly into this amazing setting. The rooms are spacious and each takes maximum advantage of the views and landscaping. If you must use the internet, it is available, but take a walk instead and greet the lambs, horses and cows.  

The scenery and accommodations are perfectly complemented by the host Maria.  She is warm, gracious and welcoming.  Treat yourself to her breakfast.  You will enjoy every bite!  

We will always be grateful that we stumbled upon this truly beautiful place, and only regret that our stay was limited to a few days.  If we are especially good, perhaps God will reward us with a return trip.

Marie is a wonderful host who produces fantastic food. The location is perfect, sitting outside with a bottle of bubbles is close to perfection. We had the downstairs room with french windows directly to the garden, which was perfect for our little dog (who was made very welcome). It also meant you could lie in bed & admire the view. We were lucky to also have the company of Patricia, Marie's daughter, who spoke good English (Marie's English is very limited). A wonderful stay.

The hotel is in a stunning location on the hills with a fantastic view. The place just perfect and so much relaxing. The room was spacious and very nice. We went there after having read trip Advisors reviews and it was not a mistake. We simply had a great stay and the food was SOOOO good!!! If you are in the area you have to go to the El Mirador. On top of it the owners are such lovely people. Ideal for a romantic stay.

The most amazing location with a view you would never tire of.  The accommodation was absolutely first class and the attention to detail was unsurpassed.  The food was prepared perfectly and was mouth wateringly delicious.  The most impressive part of the whole experience was the genuinely warm welcome from our hostess Maria, for whom nothing was too much trouble. This was a work trip, but it is close enough to Santander airport to go back for a long weekend: we will be doing so.

We stumbled across this place on tripadvisor and loved the photos online.  We were looking for a relaxing break after visiting lots of cities so wanted to escape to a mountain / country retreat.  To say we were not disappointed is an understatement, it was a wonderful stay, with breathtaking views, fantastic service with a marvellous host.  

We had a garden room which was perfect as we brought our dog to stay with us.  The room was a good size with a great spa / hydro massage bath.  Our room was simple but nicely done with lovely finishing touches (chocolates, petals and candles).  

Then there was the food.... the breakfast was a delight! Circa 5 courses, gorgeous homemade dishes, with ingredients from their own garden or locally sourced.  The same can be said of the dinner. We arrived late on the first night and decided to eat at the hotel.  We loved it so much we booked to eat their each night so we could spend the day exploring and come back to fantastic dinners!  

Honestly can't recommend it enough, it is only a matter of time before we return so book early or we'll get there first..!!!
