We are regular visitors to Port de Pollenca and  we've stayed in the Maricel apartments a few times over the years and always enjoyed our stay.  The pool area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds.  There's a great little pool bar which is good value, but for some strange reason the bar was only open during our first week this year (September 9th) but then it was closed all of the second week.  The lifeguard (who doubles as bar person)  said it was due to the weather.  OK it did rain one day, but after that it was dry again and it felt like she just couldn't be bothered opening it again.  When I asked, she told me to walk to the Spa shop instead!!  We'll be back again next September but this time I hope the pool bar stays open!  Otherwise everything is fab.

Lovely apartments, but please open the pool bar more!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment (Apt 101) on the first floor of the building. You check in across the road at the Miramar, which owns the apartments. It had a good view from the balcony, overlooking the very nice pool area.

There’s good air con and wi-fi. Reasonably comfy beds. Kitchen area could do with a bit more basic kit An example is that the only kitchen knife is a serrated bread knife – useless if you wanted to chop something for a salad, or peel a bit of fruit. And a bit of worktop lighting wouldn’t go astray. Place was spotlessly clean on arrival and is kept that way by housekeeping visits on five days a week.

The only real negatives about the apartment were noise related. It’s next to the lift, so occupants of the adjacent bedroom hear it every time it moves. I don’t know if the apartment walls are particularly thin, or the occupant of the apartment adjacent to the other bedroom was a particularly loud snorer but it disturbed my sleep. Fortunately, I had ear plugs with me for just such an eventuality, which I needed almost every night of our stay.. 

It’s generally a great location. A couple of minutes stroll to the Pine Walk. A Spar in the same block for all your basic shopping needs, although there’s an Eroski City only a few minutes’ walk away, with better choice.

We’d definitely come back here. 


Good stay

Very good apartments.  Perfect location one road back from the beach and the miramar hotel which is linked to these provides a nice relaxing spot for pre dinner drinks.  Rooms are excellently maintained and the pool area is pleasant.  Only negatives are the lack of full time bar facility around the pool, with the lifeguard doubling up on this when around.  When not around there is not service.  Feel they are missing a trick here to create a better facility, atmosphere and service to guests.  Plus the strict check out by 10am with no option to keep rooms until a bit later is a nuisance on the final day.  Overall an excellent holiday in a wonderful location and apartments.  Highly recommend.

Great apartment and holiday

the the hoilday appts are very clean a tidy everything you need cleaned every day nice staff has its own swimming pool which is used by the residents of the mirimar spar less than 5min s walk for supplies there is a supermarket up the street with is good for day to day the staff there are great bend backwards to help you with any issues boarding passes etc had a street view very quiet due to area

a weeks hoilday

Love it here and Porto Pollensa is our number one.Clean and spacious and centrally located.Very much NOT a children's facility and the noisy( but otherwise well behaved youngsters) rather spoilt the tranquility of the pool area but perhaps we should have chosen an Adults Only Hotel.Anyway overall lovely and once we moved from the pool area to the front of the Miramar sun lounging area our  tranquility was restored.Will be back and hope the next time we can avoid the  vociferous youngsters.

Lovely But.......

These apartments are beautiful, spotlessly clean & very comfortable. We stayed as a family of 3 with a 16 year old son. We had a 1 bed apartment overlooking the pool (205). There was a proper bed in the living room rather than him having to sleep on a sofa bed which was very comfortable. The apartment was air conditioned, with a large bathroom & very powerful shower (also a hairdryer in the bathroom). A large balcony with clothes drier. The safe cost us 15 euros for 1 week which was very reasonable. The cleaning team were so pleasant and serviced the room every day apart from Sunday. We couldn't fault it. We never had a problem getting a sunbed, there are lots around the pool which is also very clean. Inflatables are not allowed in the pool which is good but the kids all played ball in the pool instead & everyone seemed to be having fun. There is a small pool bar which is tended to by the life guard for most of the day - the drinks are reasonably priced too. Amstel on tap and you can get a glass of cava (3.75 Euros) as well as some spirits, soft drinks, ice creams etc.

Beautiful Apartments in an excellent location

We stayed in the Maricel Apartments which are managed by the Miramar and are one street behind the hotel where you check in on arrival. Our apartment (204) overlooked a lovely pool area with plenty of loungers, umbrellas and a small bar. 
The apartment was exceptionally comfortable (both beds and sofa) and was kept beautifully clean by some lovely housekeeping ladies. The lounge and bedroom had separate air-conditioning units which were very effective. The bathroom had a good shower and the towels were of good quality and were changed regularly. The kitchen was well equipped with fridge, kettle, microwave, cooker hob (which we never used) plus plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses. The fridge did not have a freezer compartment but this was compensated for with an ice-making machine on the ground floor near the lift. 
All in all we had a lovely stay in the Maricel Apartments and look forward to returning in the future.

Excellent Apartments

We are currently staying in the Maricel Apartments (room 202, pool view).  We've only one day left and wish we could stay longer.  We chose to pay an additional supplement for our room and dont regret it one bit. Having said that I'm sure your stay would be amazing regardless of your room allocation..

Apartment - spotless, very well equipped, plenty of space and storage.  Cleaned to a very high standard every day (except Sunday).  Credit to the cleaners.  Towels are provided for pool side when you pay a deposit for them (might save you packing them if you're undecided)

Location  - everything is convenient, shops, restaurants and pubs.  The beach is a 2 minute stroll. The restaurants are really lovely with great quality food and service.  Try AMAZO... 

Nearby - €12ish in a taxi to old town of Pollensa, such a stunning place, market on a Sunday,  great atmosphere.  €11ish in a taxi to Alcudia old town, another fabulous place to visit and stroll around.  €10ish to Cala San Vincenç where the most turquoise water filled with amazing sea life can be found (bring your snorkel and some bread, the fish will eat from your hand)

We have been so impressed with our week long holiday and having not visited Spain in years we will most definitely be back to this exact spot. Perfecto  !!!!

10 out of 10, definitely one to return to

We visited the apartments in a group of 6 with 2 small children in tow. We had two apartments, one on the 1st floor and another on the 2nd floor. We were situated at the front of the apartments. 

We found the apartments spacious and were fine for our needs. We stayed in and cooked on a couple of occasions but PP is somewhere where you want to eat out. Loads of decent quality restaurants. 

We spent both time at the beach and the pool. Our children aged 3 and 5 loved the pool. There is a smaller pool which was perfect for my 3 year old. There is a small bar that sells ice cream and drinks. 

There is a SPA shop about 30 seconds from the front door which is open early and stays open till about 10.30pm. 

The location is perfect as you are near to everything and great if you have little ones with you as they don’t have to walk far. 

The only negatives were the shower which would spray really hot water out in a burst and wasn’t the best when showering my little ones and the noise in the mornings. As we were on the front we were often woke by the bin trucks at around 6am which seem to do picks up daily and people talking on the road outside. 

We would stay here again but would request a pool side room in the hope that it was a bit quieter.

Lovely 2 week break in one of favourite places…

Perfect location! 1 street back from the sea front and round the corner from “The Square”
The apartments are completely spotless and were cleaned 5/7 days. Very comfortable beds including the camp bed for our 16 year old! Air conditioning in the lounge and bedroom which was a God send, if a little noisy!  We had an apartment over looking the street but absolutely no issues with traffic or noise. 
Outside space is beautiful too. A lovely pool area with a little bar which is serviced by the life guard. We only used the pool area once as we are beach people. 
The staff in the Miramar Hotel, where we checked in, are extremely friendly and professional including receptionists, maids and bar staff. A perfect base for our beloved Puerto Pollensa trip where we have been visiting for 19 years! We will definitely be back!!!!
