Campo Olivar

We stayed at Campo Olivar because it was cheaper to stay outside the city, and I'm glad we did because the hotel was the perfect retreat from the sweaty bustle of Valencia! Take the Metro to the end of the line, Mas del Rosari, and walk ten minutes to the hotel. It is run by the lovliest French family and is very peaceful with a beautiful and quiet swimming pool, and various quiet corners to sit outside and have a drink from the cafeteria. Lots of cute cats strolling around the grounds. It's quite small and is like a motel with the doors to your room on the front of the building. The room was spotless, cool, the bed was massive and the shower like heaven. The buffet breakfast looked nice but we didn't partake, but you can buy a coffee and eat your own stuff from the supermarket (the budget option!). If you can't be bothered with the half-hour journey into town at the end of a day at the beach, you can cross the main road to Heron City which is a massive complex of restaurants and shops, bowling, bars and the like, and has a huge supermarket too.
