Ibis Budget Valencia Aeropuerto

Stayed at ibis Budget Valencia Aeropuerto for one night as I needed to stay overnight close to the airport. This hotel is the closest option and a 10 minute walk from airport. The hotel is simple and no frills, but excellent for its price point. A fairly old building, but cared for. We had a room with a double bed that was plenty spacious for two people. Bed was comfortable. Staff are courteous and attentive. I emailed them several times with questions prior to arriving in Valencia. Always got quick responses within the hour. I read about complaints about the rooms being too warm. We had a mild day on our stay so it wasn’t an issue with the window open. But plan for a toasty room if staying when it’s really hot. A bit of street noise with window open but not a problem. Plenty of well-priced, simple but good, local restaurants within a 5 minute walk. We ate at Bar Cafeteria Fusión for breakfast which was great. And friendly staff and customers. There is a lot of construction in the area (and still is). I was travelling with heavy luggage and a large bike box so I wanted to be able to walk to the hotel as I was worried it would be difficult to get a taxi that would fit my bike. I read horror stories that the roads were not accommodating to pedestrians. Glad to see they have recently made the area much more pedestrian friendly. You can now walk the entire distance from the airport to the hotel on a continuous sidewalk with ramps AND no stairs. They even have a tunnel to cross one of the roads. If I were to do this cycling trip again, this is the hotel I’d stay at for an overnighter at the airport. Highly recommended!
