Casa Caracol - Hostel

This place was just a delight! It’s hard to know where to start! But I loved it so much I extended my stay from 2 to 7 nights which is the longest I’ve stayed in one hostel or area on my travels. Nick the owner is lovely and has literally thought of everything you could need in a hostel stay. The hostel itself is very clean, including the kitchen which I cooked in most days, and is not something I usually like to do in hostel kitchens. The rooms are super clean too, I stayed in both the female and mixed dorms and they were cleaned multiple times a day, not that it needed it! Theres loads of places to hangout out or work etc, the rooftop bar is great too, and there’s an activity held by staff most nights. There are places to chill if you prefer downtime too! It’s a beautiful building but the staff really are the heart of this place! They are all so cheerful and friendly, always ready to help with advice about day trips etc (I’d really recommend the bike ride). They also get involved in socialising too, they’re all friends which means there’s always someone to socialise with if you want to and they facilitate other people socialising too which makes it easier! They run family meals often on the roof and put on a free breakfast every morning, the food is delicious and it’s another good way to meet people. They also put on a few different activities such as beach volley ball whilst i was there! And other paid things like yoga and surfing was available daily! The location couldn’t be better, you’re within walking distance of everything you could need, and they will explain public transport if you want to go a bit further. It’s a few minutes walk from multiple gorgeous sunset spots too, I think I only missed the sunset once or twice this trip! One of the lovely guys working there, Albert, even took us to see the sunrise one morning. I love all of the local beaches, it’s super easy to find good restaurants too. I was really gutted to leave and will definitely be back, thanks so much guys! :)
