Aparthotel BCN Montjuic

We have just arrived home after a wonderful trip to Barcelona! We stayed at the BCN Montjuic as a family of 2 adults and 2 children (aged 9 & 7) we had a family room. After arriving at the airport we took a taxi to the hotel (around 24 euros) and arrived to a very warm welcome from the reception team, check in was efficient and we went to our lovely family room, the room itself has everything you need and it’s extremely clean. We had a sofa bed for the two children and two single beds together for the adults, the beds were very comfortable with crisp white bedsheets and comfortable pillows, there was a small kitchen area with a fridge and a very modern and clean bathroom with fluffy white towels. The air conditioning was also very efficient, the only downside (which was my mistake) is I wished I had booked a balcony. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, served in the lovely breakfast room, plenty of fresh options, always topped up and a different variety each day, the breakfast staff worked very hard and were lovely and friendly. The hotel also had a rooftop pool and a outside area with seating but we found this was closed early (around 10pm each night) the only downside for the hotel for us is there was no bar, so after a long day exploring the city there was no where to get a cold drink. The hotel itself is a 10 minute walk to the local metro and you can pick up the hop on hop off tour bus again a 10 minute walk from the hotel (which I thoroughly recommend) we decided on the way back to the airport to take the underground and we wished we had just taken a taxi as it’s quite a way on the underground and costs just as much and a taxi would of been easier.
