I made a reservation at the beginning of Oct at this hotel for a stay at the end of this year.  The booking was confirmed.  However, 2 days ago, I received an email to say that the hotel is closing for business!  I doubt any business makes a last minute decision like this so they should not have accepted my booking in the first place. 

Fortunately I still have time to look for another place to stay....

On a side note, it is a pity because this hotel looks great and had such good review.

Duration of stay: 6 days, 5 nights
Staff: Very nice, accommodating, and helpful! Special mention to the male Hotel Manager who was super nice to my accompany and is also good in speaking English. We arrived for check in a bit late bec of our late flight but advised the hotel beforehand. They arranged someone from the staff to wait until we arrived.
Appearance and Comfort: designs are minimal and hip, using a mix of cement, wood, and glass in their interiors. Cactus plant in room was a cute touch. They have common areas like the couch area and the roof top and they provide fresh juices and pastries in the morning. Bed and pillows are super comfortable. Bed and bath are both clean, with the bathrooms having shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap. Bathroom has no bidet spray. Make up room by request the day before. They replenish towels. 2 bottles of water are provided in the room. In-room wi-fi connection is good.
Location: SUPERB!! JJANG!! Close to Hongik, subway, restaurants, malls, banks, etc. Everything mentioned are walking distance!

Modern and has Eco-feel to it. Would stay here again!

Lovely room in the heart of Hongdae!
Walking distance to the buzzy streets, but in a calm area. You might hear the cicadas in the summer but the hotel provides you foam earplugs!

There's a cool rooftop where you can enjoy a beer.
The little chill area has cool water and you can help yourself to tea.
Breakfast is good, simple and help yourself: OJ, coffee / tea, (French like) brioches and bread, butter & jam. 

It has the feel of a guesthouse with nice rough scandi-like designs, wood and concrete, yet very clean, good WIFI.
Room has a comfy mattress (latex?), provides clean towels / toilet amenities / hair dryer and aircon. No keys but an electronic lock which is quite convenient.

Please bear in mind that toilets and shower are in the room and not separated. There is little privacy shall you need any!

We picked room 7 because it was spacious and full of light.
Great and friendly service. We really enjoyed our stay, great value for money. Nothing Korean about it though.

The street on the left when you leave the hotel is packed with cool coffee shops. We also enjoyed having ours at AIYa Café on the main street.

Understated cool hotel in hip area

Overall a very pleasant stay at Local Stitch. The rooms are big and modern, and the facilities are clean, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Hongdae is also a very nice part of the city. Also above average Wifi (which is always a plus)
Local Stitch is compared to the other hotels/hostels I have stayed in Seoul  much better value.

Great Hotel!

The room design modern, unique and comfortable. The staff there present sincere and helpful. The hotel location is good, within 10mins you can arrive Hongik University walking streets and within 5mins you can arrive Hongik University Airport bus station. On the others, the room does not have TV and the bathing area and toilet are partition by glasses. And the bottom of the glasses will leak some water out after bathing. Overall, it is valuable !
