Firstly many apologies for the late review. This was another wonderful stay with Gwen and Johan who are the most obliging of hosts. Our room (number 1) was just as we remembered it; quiet, spacious, clean, a very comfortable bed with beautiful bedding. One of the many highlights of our stay was the sumptuous breakfasts so carefully prepared. Johan's home made bread rolls and his poached eggs are a work of art which have to be seen and tasted to be believed. The car park at the rear of the property is spacious and Gwen and Johan have gone to a great deal of trouble to ensure their guests' security and safety. Gwen also very kindly made reservations at a couple of restaurants for us. Aan Dorpstraat is just a short walk from restaurants and shops. Thanks to both of you for yet another happy finale to our last visit to South Africa.

One is always made to feel welcome and the owners Gwen and Johan are friendly, easy-going, helpful and knowledgeable. Attention to detail is important to them and they have a knack of knowing the needs of their guests.

Another pleasurable visit!

Gwen and Johann are the most perfect hosts that anyone could wish for. They have a fabulous high quality guesthouse in a safe area of Stellenbosch. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed; bedding is of an extremely high standard and there was everything that anyone could possibly require.Breakfast was a real treat, freshly prepared in front of the guests. Johann's rolls and cooked breakfast were so tasty. The rapport between owners and guests was excellent. There is plenty of secure car parking space and restaurants are just a short walk away. We shall defintely be returning.

Wonderful stay

We had all too brief a stay at this beautifully appointed guesthouse located in a quiet street just minutes' walk away from the centre of Stellenbosch. The welcome from Gwen and Johan could not have been warmer and the guesthouse offers absolutely everything you could possibly want: clean linen, off-street parking, comfortable rooms with good wifi, aircon, etc and the most sumptuous and freshly prepared breakfast. We will be back, next time for longer! Thank you for looking after us so well!
