My family and I stayed one night here en route to Knysna, and I wish we'd planned to stay longer! It really is a cut above the rest in terms of comfort, decor, welcome, security, cleanliness and ease of contact with host. Would most definitely return (and certainly stay longer!).

Fabulous house!

If you have read our other reviews of South Africa you will see there is a theme. Whistle-stop tour that was quite hectic, coupled with a 9 year old who was quite ill and needed two days of hospital visits.  Hence we didn't always get to make the most of some of our stays.

Mossel Bay was another one.  We arrived after sundown, but The Villa was very welcoming.  Secure garage and enclosed outside space which is shared with the other property onsite.  Nice balcony overlooking the bay and a small pool.

The Villa was stunning and very well appointed.  The breakfast in the morning was lovely.

Wish we had more time to explore the area but we left after breakfast.

If we ever find ourselves in Mossel Bay again this is where we will stay

There are lots of pretty design features in the cottage but it is really a studio & bathroom. Not much space to put belongings so we were glad to be only staying one night. There are several restaurants nearby but the beach is the other side of town. Outside there is a small plunge pool but it didn't look very clean. The lovely terrace gives great views of the coastline.

The Cove Guesthouse, is, in all honesty, one of the loveliest places I've ever rented, anywhere in the world.  The owners couldn't be more helpful, and how they provide accommodation of this standard for the prices they charge is honestly beyond my comprehension.

Safe, secure accommodation, with pool, terrace (views are amazing), secure garage for your car, amazing style/decor/amenities - I recommend 100% for anyone that wants to stay in this beautiful small town.  We only regretted staying for just one night - as soon as we arrived we were just blown away by it - has to be seen to be believed!

Amazing Property, Perfect.

My husband, dog and I stopped at The Cove Guesthouse for a night on our way through the Garden Route. Before we arrived we were upgraded to the Villla room and it was AMAZING! The unit was modern and had everything we needed! The sunrise from the balcony was spectacular and the walk to the promenade/St Blaize Trail was quick and easy! Jacqui was available via whatsapp for any inquiries/recommendations. I told my husband before we left that we would 100% be back. Thanks for everything Jacqui! We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Modern, comfortable seaside guesthouse! A must stay if visiting Mossel Bay.

After a day of cage diving with Great White Sharks, we were ready to enjoy a good night's sleep and The Cove Guesthouse was just perfect.  It was a little hidden gem in Mossel Bay which was beautifully decorated and cosy.  The guesthouse has been kitted out well with all the things you could need in the small kitchenette and the bathroom felt nice and luxurious. 
The bed was incredibly comfortable and we ended up sleeping for 11 hours!!!! 
The weather wasn't great so we were unable to sit and enjoy the view from the terrace however it was beautiful and would have been a wonderful place to sit and relax.   The only downside was that the wifi didn't work during our stay which could have been useful for us to research Mossel and the surrounding areas. 
I would certainly recommend The Cove. Thank you!
