Nice and quiet stay at this guesthouse. Big rooms with a terrace. Two ladies who gave us a very warm welcome. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. We used the laundry service: quick and fair price, very well done. We would come back. Thanks for everything!

Nice and quiet stay

Stayed 2 nights in one of the chalet bungalows. A lovely rural setting, quiet bar birdlife.
Very spacious, clean room and bathroom a 50m stroll to the farmhouse where breakfast and evening meal (if you want) is served. We dined in to fried chicken, potatoes, beans and carrots cooked with a smile and tasty after a day’s tour to Lesotho.
If you need some quiet space, this is the place.

We stayed over two nights -  on our way down to Transkei and back again. Rooms are really spacious and well appointed. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious, and thank you Lindiwe for your warm hosting!

Great stay at Elgin Guest House

Very happy with the room, the facilities and the warm welcome we received. 
The food was delicious and had a lovely homemade quality. 
I would happily book to stay at Elgin Guest house on anther occasion.

Quaint, comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished - and Aunty Lindiwe was most kind and helpful. 
Main suggestion - during breakfast service, have music suited to the environment (soft and soothing)

Damn near perfect

We arrived late in the evening after dropping of a team participating at Sani2C.  Our room, although large and spacious was infested with large mosquitos.  The entire perimeter of the ceiling was covered in them.  Lindiwe, the most helpful house lady / manager / cook / cleaner / all round star who was also the only person that we interacted with did her best to give us the only spray she had, which was a near empty bottle of a lemon citronella herbal mist that was useless against over 100 mosquitos.  Needless to say despite a comfy bed, didnt get much sleep with the pests.  Bathroom was clean but towels could be washed better.

We had a great stay at Elgin, very proper, very good diner and breakfast. Our host was very nice and friendly. Even the laudryservice was very good.. We would advise your accommodation to everyone . Nice pool

Very pleasant stay

a perfect stay with a perfect lady host! a really nice room, very clean and fresh, and the lady who received us, did also the breakfast and dinner, the food was really good! also you are able to walk some trails in the area of the farm  wich are very good indicated and there was also a nice restaurant where you could have a nice lunch!

3 nights in Elgin Guesthouse & Farm

coming from the coast, it is amazing how green the countryside is here. Large rooms with all modern comfort. They serve diner in teh evening on request and this was very delicious. Also the breakfast is more than OK. 

good starting point for doing the sani-pass

Highly recommend this beautiful guesthouse. Rooms are stylish and beds very comfortable. Lindiwe the house lady was amazing!! Always there to help. Breakfasts hearty and tasty. Not to mention the delicious coffee from old duck. Janine was extremely accommodating as we chopped and changed our booking and made sure we got there safely and all our needs met.
