I coordinated a university reunion in Ljubljana at the end of August and most of our group stayed at Zeppelin Hostel. The showers worked well, the location was fantastic and the breakfast was small yet enough to start your day on the right foot. Also the staff had some nice recommendations for things to do and see which was really appreciated!

Given our different arrival times and departure times, I really appreciated the flexibility of Polona, Urška, Ajda, Nika and the rest of the team. During our visit, we were looked after when we needed (including a wee bandage for myself! :) ) and the staff were mostly friendly. Things hit a rough patch when some confusion (on both ends) meant that we wound up a bed short for the night, but the Zeppelin team decided to support our group which meant we could all stay together - a big thumbs up from all of us ex-University of Limerick and Erasmus visitors.

Awkward booking, but we appreciated Zepp Hostel's flexibility! :)

The only thing that was ok about this hostel was the location, which was good for us because we needed to be close to the bus station. The staff weren’t very friendly/chatty/helpful, normally they at least give you a map and engage in some small talk, we received neither. It’s a small hostel and it really feels that way. There were also clothes horses outside the rooms and a dirty mop and bucket outside the men’s bathroom, which didn’t appear to be cleaned during the 18hrs we were there. We booked a 4 bed dorm which did have enough space but the facilities were terrible! The bunk beds were ridiculously squeaky and the pillows were awful, they weren’t pillows, they were like small old cushions. The room was very hot (it was summer and very humid though) and the fan was loud and pretty useless. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

Average at best

The hostel was a great place to stay, it was clean, in a central area, and the staff were so so nice!! They were very helpful in telling us how to get to lake bled. Which I recommend very much! The rooms are nice and cool at night which was a great welcome to us on our travels! They're spacious and comfortable! I would highly recommend this place again. The only thing I would say is the showers need some attention. But otherwise a brilliant place.

ITS CUTE

A nice overall place, very light and calm, but the staff is a bit rude. A very good thing is that the hostel is located directly to the center, even tho it's quite a walk up the stairs. Common room is also pretty sweet, as it gives off a very modern touch to the place.

Amazing apartment in the center of Slovenia with polite staff, comfortable rooms. Interesting details in all parts of apartment. Lot of people from all around world. Healthy breakfast served with smile...chilly and happy place to stay during your visit.

Quirky little hostel close to the bus stop and the city.
Staff are very friendly, there is a nice atmosphere in the place.
Basic breakfast spread in the morning and downstairs you can get a falafel wrap for 2.50€

Good location, friendly staff.

I have stayed in Zeppelin hostel for few times over last years and I have never been disappointed. I can't talk about superlatives but the place is worth the price you pay. Cozy with nice atmosphere, clean, simple breakfast to start you day. Nice and helpfull staff. Location is a good starting point to discover Ljubljana downtown, close to railway and bus station, main atractions and many clubs. Mostly I have stayed her for my travells starting point or just to have a partynight in Ljubljana.

One night in Ljubljana

Arriving by train, it is a 5 min walk. An old house welcomes you in it's walls. The receptionist was super friendly and because we were the first ones arriving this day, we could choose the room. Got a very clean swedish themed room.

This was a nice base from which to explore the city, being about 10 minutes walk from the centre, and within walking distance of Tivoli Park. The hostel was considerate in arranging for us to check in late (for a small extra charge) and gave us good advice about arranging a shuttle service from the airport to the hostel. Our room was quite small, but comfortable enough with a reasonable amount of storage space. There was a lovely common room area featuring little quirks such as a positive thought for the day jar, and a world map where guests could mark where they'd come from. Good selection of continental breakfast offered as well. The showers in the bathroom could do with an upgrade, spitting out water for a few seconds before cutting out, but once you figure out a system with the shower button, this wasn't too much of a problem. Decent value for money, friendly staff and an excellent location.
