The place was dirty there were spider webs inside no breakfast..the owner was in cahrge of the ac telling us to turn it off each time we turned it on,it was very hot…we had 0 privacy literally none! She could barge in anytime and just walk around like tgeres nobody, i was in the shower she came in and tunerd the ac in the room of and looked at me in the shower then left

We had a comfortable time at Petra's Guest House, thanks to the hospitality of Julette. She welcomed us with the much appreciated glasses of orange juice. She took good care of us during our stay - prepared our breakfast, and ensured that the property was tidy. 

The guesthouse is tucked away from the busy main road. The room has ample space, with comfortable beddings and a spacious bathroom. There's a common kitchen complete with utensils and equipment. The complex also has wide grassy space that's relaxing to the eyes.

The installations are of very low quality for the price paid and the bathroom was awful, many cockroaches were found and there was no answer from the owner. The place is mid far from center but that's not the main problem. I DON'T recommend it.

Awful stay

Let's face it...You're in Seychelles and it's hard to find cheap and decent places to stay!! Here is one of them which I recommend. I spent one night there and i have nothing to complain about other than the darkness of the surroundings. If you decide to go out for dinner, make sure you have a flash light in order to return to the hotel. The owner was kind enough to lend me one. Also, make sure you keep visual track of the road since it is easy to miss the turn-off. But even that was fun to try to find the hotel in complete darkness. Luckily the neighbours are friendly and very helpful. It's a self-catering hotel and they are very generous with the food supply in the fridge. There is ample eggs, yoghurt, juice, coffee, bread, jam, etc. I really have no hesitation to recommend this hotel as a budget option in Heavenly La Digue.

Your best bargain at La Digue!

Quiet and nice location, value for money , rooms were clean and also do toilets , juliette was very helpful . Breakfast was good as we stayed for 2 nights here. Bit far from the main road and after sunset be sure to have some landmark to reach here as we lost a bit. Common kitchen with more utensils to cook our own food. lacNeed to carry torch while arriving at evening and also place is calm and know one disturbs you . they also provide the bicycle renting facilities and breakfast is bread butter juice and omlete / egg depending on your wish .

Quiet and Nice place to stay with common kitchen.

We selected the property because we needed somewhere to wash and sleep for one night only (and decided on a side trip to la Digue shortly before our departure to Seychelles). The rooms were adequate if dreadfully decorated. The bathrooms were abysmal at best and the communal WC reeked of urine; see picture. The airconditioning worked well. The property isn't signposted at all and only knew where to go because we stumbled onto the owner at the jetty by sheer luck. Large parts of the property appeared to be a dump for broken fishing and boating equipment (#trailerpark). They did try hard to please us at breakfast. In any other context than La Digue, the guesthouse would be extremely overpriced, but given that La Digue's is a tourist trap of note, it is understandable. Stay here only if desperate.

Use as last resort only

If your visit is mainly about exploring island, enjoying trip, adventures, you just need to modest, satisfying place to stay - Petras guest house will be your choice. I appreciate the fact, that it is located in between house, you feel like local, domestic, in connection with nature and people living here. Place is not easy to find, but everyone is familiar with the place, so just ask local people. House owner was very friendly, helpful man, we were able to obtain bicycles, boat trip and all other stuff we needed. Place is enough spacious.
