My friend and I stumbled into the 1001 Nights Hostel one night in Belgrade and we were greeted by a charming, welcoming atmosphere involving much rakija. Life around the hostel revolves around this pleasant atmosphere and the hostel manager Dusko makes sure your stay is as pleasant as possible - he's also a bubbly person and a delight to talk to at all hours of the day and night. I liked this hostel so much that I signed up to tripadvisor to write this. I'll definitely be staying again if I make it to Belgrade before Dusko moves to Poland.
