Excellent location only 1 min walk from the Ulitsa Vaynera, the place is clean but a bit difficult to find. Each room had a shower apart from the common showers and toilets. Good place for the price paid.

Excellent location

The hotel is nice and the price is good. Many rooms have window to street and it is quite loud, even during night. But the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Perfect for a visit in Yekaterinburg.

Nice hotel

The location is great - right in the center of things. You need to go through the archway and into the courtyard to get there, then turn right immediately and the door is the farthest one to the right (typical Russia - not always easy to find addresses!).  The price was also GREAT for a private room, and everything was very clean. There is only one bathroom, but the place seemed to be full and there was never a long wait for the bathroom. The staff is a little overly-attentive, but again, that is common in Russia. There wasn't the communal atmosphere of backpackers hostels in some other countries, but after 6 weeks travelling in Russia in many cities across the country, we only found that in one place, so we weren't expecting it. Overall a great budget place, especially for a private room.

Very comfy, great price and location!

This hostel experience was quite quirky, actually it felt like the hotel manager herself had the hostel as her apartment, she was there all the time and kept an eye on everything, so you didn't really feel relaxed there. On the other hand, she could help you with everything you needed, if you managed to get it through in Russian (we managed to get a taxi to the train station for 2 am after a long try). It was basically an apartment with a huge living room and a few bed rooms. Location was superb, close to the main pedestrian area, entrance from the inner yard, we had no problem with finding. Wifi in the rooms, the fastest we had during our whole Russian trip.

Quirky place

We had an early train into Yekaterinburg.  The hostel was darn near impossible to find even by Russian standards.  We had help from several people before locating it.  The kitchen and living area are extremely spacious and set up well.  It almost felt as some Russians live there full time and we just happen to get a spare room for the night.  The shower was great and the wifi was fast.  If you have an early or late train you may want to pass.  They will not open the door until 10am in the morning.  We called around 8am for directions and they repeatedly hung up on us.  Finally we found someone to translate (they only speak Russian) and were told they would not let us enter until 10am.  We could not even drop our bags or anything so we were stuck waiting it out at a cafe a block or so away.  Also they will not hold bags if you have a late train.  This is inconvenient if you want to see the city but don't want to carry luggage around with you.  If your times of arrival and departure fit into their window then it is an okay option.  Otherwise you may want to find a place more accommodating.
