Went to Bran in August 2023, for a short birthday get away.

One of the highlights was definitely the owner's involvement. Their friendly nature made us feel like old friends, and their genuine care for guests was palpable, making our stay feel like we were part of a close-knit family.

The backdrop of the mountains added a touch of magic to every meal, making it feel like dining in a painting. For families, there's everything you could ask for—adventurous walking trails, a playground to keep the kids entertained, and the convenience of the restaurant staying open late enough to ensure everyone could unwind comfortably.

Breakfast was amazing. A touch of champagne in the morning made this vacation even more sparkling 😀

And let's not forget the proximity to Bran Castle and Bran Plaza; the convenience made exploring these iconic spots a breeze. Plus, having Amfiteatrul Transilvania nearby was a cultural cherry on top, enriching our experience even more.

We're already planning our return because some experiences are just too good to have only once.

Great place with top restaurant

Should you have a small business meeting or a family (especially woth kids) mountain break/retreat near the Bran Castle, THIS is where it has to happen. Clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff and amazing food are to make want to come back, for sure. Don't take my word for it, get there now!

Unbelievable, they are not able to prepare a simple bean soup, they use to mix old soups into one.

When it comes to the main course, it happens that the ingredients (meat), are old, smell old, taste old.
The restaurant is clean, tirolean style but the food has nothing in common with the food.
Very disappointed.

Poor restaurant.

An oasis of peace, superb location.  
We went to eat, but after seeing how good the food is, fresh, everything delicious, we decided that in the near future we will return and stay at Braudenberg.
Traditional Romanian food, extraordinarily good.  The waiters behaved exemplary.
I recommend this restaurant.  I was left thinking about the good food here.


You definitely have to get here

Excellent food and service. There is an English menu on the website, and free Wi-Fi so that you can access this. The portions are large, so be careful on what you order. There are a range of options for vegetarians, however this is a little limited - what we had was amazing though. Also dog friendly in the summer!

First Class

At this chic guesthouse in Simon, Bran area, I just ate. The pension is very well located, in a quiet area with a wonderful view of the wooded hills. Although we arrived at noon on Saturday, both the food and the service were impeccable. We will gladly return.

Excellent food and service

Absolutely everything was perfect during a family lunch. Prices, food, service and the location is ideal for family trips. Playground and plenty of space for the kids. Best in Bran so far and we have been on vacation here for 20 years or something.

The good:
- nice property, very well maintained
- helpful host 
- clean and beautiful room
- one of the best restaurants around Bran ( the portions are really huge )
- a large playground for small children (5-10 y old)
- diversified breakfast with cakes and other handmade goodies

The bad:
- the restaurant is a little crowded on Saturday

Nice weekend

We've eaten here a couple of times and the food has been very good. We went again this weekend after a long hike with a dog and we were very disappointed by the attitude of the staff. They were extremely rude kicking us out and they were very abrupt saying that it says so on their website that they do not accept pets. So be aware - if you're traveling with a pet, they are not pet friendly and very rude about it.

Great food but bad attitude and not pet friendly

Don't miss the trout in the pan. Here we eat every time we reach the area. The best restaurant in Bran in my opinion, cleanliness in the bathroom is the first thing that guides me to a restaurant, clean in the bathroom, cleanliness in the kitchen and rooms, impeccable service and food of 10. The best lemonade ever, both with mint and honey as well as the passion fruit. I served a slightly spicy delicious beef and tender meat, belly soup as it should be belly soup, mutton chops, grilled trout and fried in very good corn, homemade cake with walnuts, meringue and ness dementialaaaa, cheescake with just as good berries and very good carlsberg beer. All precautions against covid 19 are observed, the waiters wear a mask so it gives you comfort and safety. From now on we will choose to eat only here when we get through Bran.
