This hostel is lovely furnished by its owners and has only a few rooms which are alloted on several floors. It's located very central, approx. 5-10 min walk to the harbour. A supermarket is just some metres away. 
It's a really nice place to stay, clean and recently renovated. It's way better and cheaper than other hotels  (yes, hotels!) which are also located in the city centre.
Moreover the people who run the hostel are very hospitable. 
In short: a wonderful accommodation to stay in Olhão! 

Very nice hostel in the centre of Olhão 

We recently had the privilege to enjoy a stay at this gorgeous place in Algarve, Portugal. This is a gem of a place, clean, pristine, with a gentle vibe. We stayed in the private suite downstairs which has a firm bed, tv, ac, private bathroom, towels, room key and plenty of space. The hostel accommodations upstairs were superb with clean spaces, and bathrooms for men and women. There is a common home-type kitchen with a stove, fridge, microwave, dishes and pots. An amazing terrace on the top floor, watch the world, birds and people go bye. TV in common areas. Excellent wifi in all areas with separate routers. The beautiful young couple that run this place couldn't be kinder and helpful.  Whoops - forgot to mention the extensive breakfast, delicious! Go check this experience for yourself. Excellent hotel suite in Algarve Portugal

Had booked this place after seeing good reviews from travelers.However after reaching here I realized why people have rated it so highly.

It's a 5 minute walk from the river with lovely restaurants,Tapas bars, Coffee shops, Ice cream parlours & variety of eating joints.The boat trip companies which are a must to experience Rio Formosa Natural Park & the islands including Santa Maria Island on Atlantic Ocean are all located here.

Olhao is a peaceful small town & the location of this hotel is just awesome.You need to book early to get the only double room available.The facilities including the complimentary breakfast is out of the ordinary.

But there is more.Although I normally write my reviews after I have finished visiting a place, however in this case I am still staying here & will leave 2 days later.The reason is that I have fallen in love with Avenue Hostel & Suites 😊 What makes this place so special is the hospitality of the owners,Andrea & her husband.They really have gone out of their way to make us feel comfortable & special.Very well maintained lovely place & the pictures I am attaching here will give you a sense of why I feel so happy staying here.Would just love to come back again 😊

If you ever want to stay in Olhao, small and historical fishermen village, than this is the place to stay. Nice people, nice and clean place... this is what you need on a trip you want to remember. Many thanks!!!
