We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful and quiet guest house (5 rooms and 2 chalets) located in the countryside of Olhao, a few kilometers from the beautiful town.

A relaxing holiday in the Algarve

A magical place and still safe from the crowds! Modern facilities and extra comfort in a rustic setting. Fantastic swimming pool, good view, everything appeals to absolute rest... rich breakfast, sympathy and attention from the hosts, Nathalie and Lionel! All 5*! Repeating without a doubt! ❤️

Oh, my God!

We stayed at the Quinta Saleiro for 5 days in May. We were very well received and guided by Nathalie and Lionel. Their advice is relevant and tailored to your needs. The Quinta is well equipped and clean, the situation is very quiet. The orange juice for breakfast is a treat. The pool was ideal for swimming and the view is superb. This part of the coast is preserved (concrete) and authentic, Olhão is pleasant and typical. We will return with pleasure.

Calm and Quiet

We chose the Quinta Saleiro because we were looking for a quiet but tasteful country house for our stay in February. We were aware that you needed a car and we like rural, so no complaints about the location (make sure you come from the right direction to avoid the dirt track). From the pictures I had thought you could go for walks from the lower part of the property itself, but you can't, it's a vegetable  plot. The terrace, pool area and house look as pretty as on the website and upon our arrival we received a very friendly welcome from the owner and Sra. Ana, who looked after us well, serving a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, lovely bread and croissants and orange juice on the terrace every morning. My husband got scrambled eggs and for me (vegan) they had arranged to have soy milk available, for which I am very grateful. Still, overall, we were a little bit disappointed. Our room was big and clean and thankfully it had air condition that could be used for heating, as it was a bit cold. The bathroom is nicely done but it was very cold - maybe an infrared heater would be a solution for the winter months? One of the appealing things in the pictures was the nice sitting area in the building - we thought this was the place we would sit in the evenings, but we were the only guests and it was far too cold to sit there. Had there been a fire lit, it would have made a big difference, but it probably isn't worth their while for just one occupied room. This meant once we were back we could just sit on the bed (just one chair in the double room) and read or look at the tiny tv in the opposite corner, so we made sure to stay out as late as possible.  While it is a pleasant enough place to stay, it was not quite what we had envisaged and in our opinion it is a bit overpriced for what you get (clean and basic B&B, same breakfast every morning). Why somebody would chose to stay in the wooden garden sheds called "chalet" is certainly beyond me. Still, overall it was ok, but I think if we ever were to go back, it would only be in the warmer period of the year.

Clean and nice but maybe better in the summer

A cozy and clean breakfast, friendly staff and quietly laid out with a beautiful garden, Atlantic view and swimming pool, fireplace, great terrace and reasonable prices, come back.

A great quiet base

I arrived at about 5 pm without reservation, there was a cottage available, all comfort, impeccable bed and quiet the reception was perfect and breakfast on the terrace well served the pool was pleasant and has good temperature

It's beautiful

This spectacular place is made for enjoying, relaxing and disconnecting. The garden, the pool and the views to the countryside are impressive, the sea is also at the bottom. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is of top quality (the orange juice is excellent). All the details are very carefully taken to spend a very pleasant stay. The staff is very friendly too. Everything is so good that one does not want to leave. Hopefully we can return!

It was brilliant!

The choice in summer: either the heat is the sound of the climate (African climate) or the sound of the refrigerator (the refrigerator is small but present).

6 days at the Quinta. Ana & Virginia at the top. Upgrade to 1 larger room as available on time. Small dej nice & cozy, large swimming pool but a bit cold, good location and great view.
