Varandas da Ria

Great location on Costa Nova, room had nice balcony overlooking river, good restaurants close by. Decent sized, clean and comfortable room with large double bed (not two singles shoved together), spacious bathroom. Check-in is in the Azevedo Hotel located in the street behind, staff there are helpful. The breakfast, taken in the main hotel building, was good. Wi-fi Internet access good and stable. We had no problem parking on the street but it was early October and the season was winding down. Costa Nova is very attractive and interesting, there is a wide boulevard with extensive green space between the hotel and the river and it's a short easy drive to Aveiro. Varandas da Ria is all you need for a one, two or three night stay to visit Aveiro and the area's outstanding beaches and sand dunes.
