We went in a group of 6, the listing said it was for 5 people but 6 could be accomodated for an extra fee. We paid this and assumed we would have an extra foldable bed or something, but no. It was one disappointment after the next so here is my list of reasons why you should AVOID this place:

1. Two of the kitchen cabinets were broken.
2. No hot water.
3. Kitchen utensils (pans and such) are $10 to rent + a $10 deposit that you get back, even the cheapest hostels let you use their full kitchen.
4. The key to our cabin had a "trick" so we spent a while trying to get it to open when we got there, one of the workers had to come help and they didn't even do anything to fix it, so when we went for breakfast, had to fo through the same ordeal JUST TO OPEN THE DOOR.
5. No speakers rule? A lie. Everyone had speakers, it didn't personally bothered me, but it's worth mentioning.
6. Breakfast was good, but mediocre.
7. The cabin was full of flies, not because we left the door open, they were there when we first arrived.
8. For the price that you pay for a night here, you can get dozens of places that give you better quality at half the prices.

To summarize, nice concept, the pool is amazing, but too expensive for what they offer, the place is not well taken care of, and would never recommend anyone to go there.

Will never come back, pricey and not worth it

If you like to party all day and all night until 4:30 in the morning, then this is the place for you!  We had the unfortunate luck of paying $200 a night for 5 nights for a unit that was right next to the pool - and only 7 meters from a huge loudspeaker.  The noise just blew us away - literally.  The windows and doors were vibrating and we couldn't even carry on a conversation inside the unit.  After two nights, we checked out early and forfeited $600+ on the remaining 3 nights.  Screw this.

Even though this place is advertised showing a full kitchen, be forewarned they have ZERO kitchen utensils, plates, dishes, appliances - NOTHING.  Fortunately, we learned about this 2 days before we arrived from an email from the proprietor.  So we brought everything with us.  However, their refrigerator failed to cool properly so we lost quite a bit of our cold items.

They have no hot water and don't care.

There is no wifi in the units.  You have to go to the restaurant and be pelted by the mind-numbing music or hike up the hill to the lobby for wifi.

Village at the Pool has no connection with Bijao Beach or Sheraton.  Therefore you have to access the beach by driving about 10 minutes down a crappy road, getting hassled when you park by locals trying extract a parking fee.  Otherwise, the beach is beautiful - with no shade.

Finally, parking is a nightmare.  So many partiers showed up Saturday that the main parking lot way up the hill was full, so everyone else was diverted to another parking lot that takes about 5km of highway driving to finally find a returno to go back the other other direction and then park a quarter mile away from your unit.

If you are a party-hearty person with your own BBQ pit and energy to party all night long, this place can't be beat.
