Hotel El Castillo

We had the rooms in front with balconies. Very nice. Nice wiew and fresh air.
Cloose to center and all you need.
Calm and quiet. 

Breakfast was a bit plain. Could need some upgrading without costs.
Helpful staff but unfortunately very little English spooken.

this hotel is well located in Matagalpa, allowing visitors to explore the town on foot from the hotel. One can find many restaurants and stores in the vicinity.
The staff was kind and the room was quiet, but it could have used a bit more effort in cleaning.
We spent two nights at El Castillo and really enjoyed the terrasse at the upper level of the building (near rooms 13, 14 and 15). It offers an awesome view of the sunset over Matagalpa and the hills surrounding it. Also, lot's of birds come to the few trees right next to the building... always nice to look at!

Excellent value. Nice location

awesome view and great location

we stayed 2 nights in a triple share room with private bathroom.   the room was large and airy but with no view, which was not a problem.  
only one small wall fan, lucky it was not too hot.

breakfast was nice (eggs) with a great view of the town.

NO ENGLISH SPOKEN AT ALL, but we managed.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is worth the money ( $22 for a room without balcony) because it includes breakfast and private bathroom. The rooms are clean, the staff
is friendly and the view on the city is nice.

Fine hotel

Place is not at all as advertised. Wifi didn't reach room, there was no hot water, room initially had no fan. Additionally, views are not nearly as nice as in photos, there is a construction site directly in front of the hotel. Overall, very bad value for high price. The same quality, or better can be found at other hotels in the area for half the price.
