Would recommend this motel if staying in Papakura. Very clean and welcoming. Chocolate bars a lovely touch. Only 2 very small niggles. No plug in the bathroom. And main light in sleeping area quite dull. Needed directions in the morning and this was dealt with well. 

One night in Papakura...

Arriving at Auckland airport in the middle of the night we thought crashing at a local was sensible. The staff were friendly and efficient and room was clean and quiet. We made the mistake of deciding to breakfast before we left, very average.

As soon as I secured adele tickets I searched for accommodation straight away. Homestead motor lodge was one of the many few left as all other accommodation close to mt smart stadium were snapped up. Homestead was in a great location along great south road supermarkets galore lot's of eateries within walking distance. The motel itself was average for 3 of us adults. We did find a couple of the surrounding guests nextdoor to us were quite noisey luckily we didn't spend a lot of time there. The room itself was tidy the queen bed was extremely soft! The area space within the room was easy enough for my blind daughter to navigate her way to the bathroom easily enough. Lacked a teatowel in the kitchen, had to ask for an extra towel as only set up for 2 adults even tho they knew they'd be 3 of us. Fantastic fast flowing shower! Was reasonably priced for a nights stay 7/10.

Stayed here for three nights. Were told on arrival there was a problem with the door handle, the screws were loose and my partner tightened them and 'fixed' the door. Also had trouble closing a window, maintenance needs to be carried out. We were put in a unit with a wet area shower and were given two towels, one flannel to share and a bath mat, not good enough when water from the shower goes everywhere. We were never given a dishcloth so couldn't wipe the kitchen bench down. The microwave hadn't been cleaned as there was still food on the turntable and I had nothing to clean it with. It was also noisy from other residents, traffic and the train. I wouldn't stay here again.

Not impressed.

Stay was ruined by the Long term guests ... extremely noisy and rude. Had a lot of trouble getting my kids to sleep with all the loud music and swearing and cigarette/weed smoke coming from  outside our window. 
Management didn't seem too bothered. 
Lack of Towels ect.  Wouldn't recommend
