I stayed there just one night.
The hotel is located 2 minutes away from the center of Bhaktapur which is great.
You can be near the sights of interest but in a quiet street.
Room was decently spacious and I got a cheap price.
It was clean. Bathroom was tiny and on the balcony.
The owner was a lovely man, giving me lots of advise on Bhaktapur but also on my trekking in Kathmandu Valley.
It was a great value for money stay.

I stayed in this guesthouse about a year and a half ago in one of the small single rooms but this time round due to the sad lack of tourists after the earthquake plus the fact that Nava(the owner)'s family have moved in to the hotel because their house was completely destroyed, I had a twin room this time around. Both rooms were clean and comfortable, and there's a TV with English channels which is a bonus. The location is perfect, on a side street off Pottery Square and close to the main temple area which is in part still standing but quite moving to visit at the moment. 
Nava is great, really helpful and very welcoming with a sense of hope for the future after the loss of his house, the remains of which he showed to me....
Most of all, as the previous reviewer pointed out, Bhaktapur needs people to return there so that there's some kind of money flow from tourism again. It's a unique and historically rich place to visit and I would definitely recommend that you stay at this guesthouse for value, location, quirkiness and to meet Nava who is a real star. 

I stayed here in 2014 and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bhaktapur.  Location location location!  Great hospitality and real  value for your dollar. What a sweet place this is, right in the centre of the old town.  Nava, the hotel owner, is attentive and conscious of his guests needs.  

You will feel at home right from the first meeting.  My favourite room is on level one and has a lovely private" garden" bathroom and traditional furnishings.  Very comfortable with tv and good wifi and working power points.  My room overlooked the street but wasn't noisy.  I was provided with a torch to venture to a recommended nearby restaurant one evening - all part of the lovely experience of this historic place.  Nava knows all the places to go and will direct you to wherever you wish.  Ask him to point out the new nearby roof top restaurant where you can grab a guitar and play along with the locals.  Pottery Square is nearby, and so is almost everywhere else you will want to see.  Don't worry about getting lost in the laneways here.  All paths lead to one of the two main roads through the old town and you can ask any local to point you back to Pottery Square.  

When you leave, try taking a public bus back to Kathmandu for a dollar or so.  They depart regularly nearby and you won't have to sit on the roof!  More like a coach - safe and full of locals.  Wonderful!

The Hotel was undamaged in the 2015 earthquake so I felt very very safe staying here again this year. Damage all around was very evident  and this 5 storey structure stands out.  This place needs tourists to return - give it a go.  Bhaktapur is so lovely, even with the damage to ancient structures, you can easily spend 3 days here, wandering through it's hidden secrets.  Try some great Newari food.  You might want to linger longer if you are a serious photographer.  There's a delight at every turn. Locals are friendly and welcoming.  No heavy duty tourist harassment here.

Location, hospitality and value PLUS!

I stayed here for 2 to 3 nights for my onward t trek to ebc. Located in the very small lanes of kathmandu. Rooms are fine with basic facilities like ac. 1 restaurant is available which serves variety of foods. Overall not a bad choice for medium budget. Note that rooms have interesting names. 

Decent hotel

I needed a place to stay for one night in Bhaktapur during March. It seems Bhaktapur is generally more expensive compared to other places in Nepal, so I opted for a single room with shared bathroom facilities at this guesthouse. The room was tiny with a mattress on the floor which pretty much took up most of the room. Now, the interesting part was the 'shared bathroom with shower'. It's nothing more than a cupboard behind the reception which givrs hardly enough room to sit on the toilet. Don't even think about showering! The cleanliness did not motivate me to stay any longer than necessary in this cupboard either.
The guesthouse itself is in an interesting building with beautiful traditional front doors. Location is great with only a few moments to Durba Square.
