I struggle to reconcile my own experience at La Parenthese with those written by other reviewers. First, It is a beautiful space in a beautiful setting. It was overall a great value. I loved the West African sculptures on site. But at the same time, I have never been treated with such disdain by a management team. The problem started when we informed the management that we no longer wished to pay the $22 per person dinner fee for the four littlest children in our group (ages 4, 7, 7, and 7). They weren't eating the food and we just switched to cooking pasta and making salads for them. From that point on, the food quality and quantity that they served to us (the adults) dropped dramatically. Dinners were no longer enjoyable. The management team was so paranoid that we would try to take food from our meals and feed our children that they simply didn't give us enough food, let alone make an effort at cooking decent meals. Trust me, we weren't trying that - the tagines were great for adults (save for the last few days), but the little kids don't have the palates to appreciate them. For our party of 8 paying adults, they would often put out 3-4 of the small moroccan breads (1-person sized portions) total. When they served french fries (along with a dry and unpleasant roast chicken--where they had conveniently taken the thighs for the staff--the french fries served for 8 people were perhaps the size of a normal bistro portion for 1 person, It was laughable. We each had a few fries. Literally. I wouldn't be writing this review if not for some bitterness over how the food deteriorated in the last 48 hours of our stay there and their disdainful responses to our concerns. When asked about the problem, the manager replied, quite sanctimoniously that he was just "following orders from the owner." So, I don't know. Maybe if you go there and just pay for all extra fees and don't quibble with the owners you will have a good time as noted by the other reviewers. The space is nice.

Good value, but we had concerns about service

La Parenthèse Marrakech is a piece of heaven: a beautiful berber home nested between Marrakech and the Agafay desert. It is peaceful, authentic and gorgeous. Food is delicious, the menu varies every day and is homemade with fresh ingredients. The owners are friendly and know the region very well. They organize amazing excursions in the desert. La Parenthèse Marrakech is definitely a gem.

HEAVEN

This place is beautiful and relaxing. We really enjoyed the rooms, pool, relax areas, and the service from Hassane was great. It is such a relaxing piece of paradise. They did an amazing job building this hotel and paid attention to all the details!I think it's important to drive here as it's in the middle of nowhere and taxis to Marrakech are 200dhm each way. There are no restaurants close by so you have to eat at the hotel if you do not have a car. Breakfast is very good and was included. However, lunch and dinner were OK and a bit expensive for Morocco.Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

A little piece of paradise

New and wonderful place just 30 minutes from Marrakech, excelent garden and pool, attention to detail, very helpful staff and hospitable hosts who create a great atmosphere of this place, highly recommend 

Oasis of peace and luxury

It's a great open house!
The first time you get there you feel a really positive energy who makes you feel good ! The food is awesome and the rooms very spacious and clean. They also have a beautiful swimming pool where you can swim all the year. I recommend this place to all of you who are looking for a great escape.
