Great small riad adjacent to the winery property and just walking distance from the tasting room and vineyard. There is a nice pool right outside of the rooms. Rooms are small, but nice and clean, nice bathroom. Shower has no doors! Very comfy bed. Wine tasting and lunch/dinner is very affordable at the winery. Great service, very friendly.

Beautiful riad at a winery

We hired a driver via our Riad to take 4 adults to Essaouira from Marrakesh, he waited and took us to the vineyard and then back to Marrakesh the next day. 230Euro. I think you could negotiate a better price with a driver direct in hindsight however we decided we wanted the security. 
We arrived late afternoon the day prior to a public holiday, we were the only guests. Having booked 2 rooms thinking one had two large beds for our adult son and daughter we arrived to find the second bed is a small settee. With little rancour it was rectified, Ahmed was considerate and swift to respond. 
The rooms are pretty, well equipped, plenty of hot water, privacy, comfortable beds, beautiful towels and shower gel/soap. Wifi was perfect and unexpected. 
It was chilly in the evening but there are heaters and aircon units which warm, plus nice blankets,

We were too late for a wine tour but enjoyed a superb supper, the Tajine was first class. Some reviews mention a menu, we were simply served a Moroccan meal without a menu maybe because of the holiday situation. The cheery waiter turned out to be very involved in the viticulture so we enjoyed a very generous and enjoyable wine tasting and explanation before buying some wine for dinner. It's easy to see why Moroccan wine is gaining momentum, the rose and gris wines we tried were superb and  reasonable compared with the city restaurant prices so you could have differing wines with each course without breaking the bank.

The pool area was beautiful, on a warmer day and at a busier time I imagine its sublime. Breakfast was wholesome and typical with a smile.

I'd consider another trip to enjoy the relaxation and warm friendly service and spend more time in Essaouira an interesting city. It's a half hour drive from the sea if you want to eat out in town. The dark skies, flowers, beautiful stone buildings and vineyard setting could not be farther from the desert landscape around you.

Tips..
It's a couple of minutes walk along a dark vineyard lane to the restaurant so bring a 'phone torch; 
the restaurant is up a set of external stairs, you need to be able to climb stairs to gain access.  
we found Val D'Argan wine in Carrefour and restaurants in Marrakesh, it's worthy of attention and award winning try it if you can't get to visit. 
the bill will be in Dirhams and charged there on a credit/debit card if you book through booking.com
dinner and extras were paid in cash, dinner/wine was very reasonable 16 Euro pp plus wine at 10 - 40 Euro per bottle.

Something totally different...recommended

Set in the middle of a beautiful vineyard, we've spent an amazing week of relaxation in the cozy and intimate Val d’Argan resort. The wine was excellent, the food was delicious and the team was super friendly and always ready to help out. Located 30 minutes away from Essaouira, we’ve manage easily to go discover the city and its surrounding (the medina, the fish market, the seashore..) or just stayed at the Val d’Argan to enjoy the swimming pool and do some wine tasting.
We highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice retreat near by Essaouira and if you decide to go there, don’t forget to pay a little visit to Goliath the camel! :)

Peace and tranquility

We slept 3 nights at the Ryad des Vignes, enjoying the quietness of the amazing location in the middle of the vineyard, savouring the DELICIOUS food (some of the best meals of our stay in Marroco) and the great local wines, as well as discovering the region by car, including beautiful Essaouira. The rooms are simple but charming and decorated with taste, comfortable and very clean. Staff members are extremely helpful and welcoming. We warmly recommend staying in this lovely Riad!

Lovely stay in quiet Riad

We stayed at Ryad des Vignes for 3 nights on our way to Essaouira.  What a calm, beautiful place it is.  It's a working, award winning vineyard with 5 or 6 rooms and a gorgeous pool.  We didn't leave it for the whole 3 days.  Lunch and/or dinner is served under the trees by the pool, with wines from the vineyard.  The staff are friendly and efficient.  We had massages, ate delicious food, and of course drank a lot of wine.  While we were there the daughter of the French owner was visiting with 6 or 7 of her friends, which only made our stay better.  So, good food, great wine, and half a dozen beautiful young French people to look at..... it really couldn't have got any better.  Thank you Charles and Soumia, we loved it.
