Stayed for 2 nights as a part of our hiking vacation throughout Montenegro. We walked from Andrijevica to Stavna, a solid 14km, but a great walk with different sorts of views and landscapes as you walk up to Stavna meadow. We were welcomed by a most friendly host, ever smiling. We were assigned a cosy house, that had all the comforts you need or expect from a 'katun': soft beds, enough blankets (mountain nights can be chilly), a hot shower, nice terrace on the first floor of the house and so on. Even the Wi-Fi reached our house. You will never leave the restaurant hungry, as they serve richly! Because our vacation included dinner, we were served really delicious traditional meals. It was really nice to try out local dishes and the host always kindly explained what they made for us. Do ask and do try those traditional meals! To drink you should really try their home made juices instead of a coca-cola, which you mostly pick out of habit. Breakfast, the same: really filling you up, but needed for the hikes of that day! The Komovi peaks are in their backyard so to speak, so it's an ideal stay if you'd like to explore those. For example: Kom Vasovicki is but a mere 4km away, but boy, is it steap. Don't underestimate it; it may prove to be more mountaineering than hiking. On the main road leading to the Eko Katun, there's a well with drinking water just before you enter the village, which comes in really handy for your hikes.

Most welcoming and ever so friendly!

We stayed for two night and had a great experience. The cabins are spacious and clean. The host (Branko) and his family are super nice. They serve generous dishes of tasty food. make sure you try the local beer when your are having dinner there.

Great experience

stopped here just for a quick coffee en route from Kolašin to Kosovo. situated in beautiful quiet mountain country I'd imagine this would be a beautiful place to stay. staff were friendly and the views both in the camp and en route to it were lovely.

What a place !!!

High in the mountains (so cooler than in the valleys), great sceneries and walks, comfortable enough chalets (rustic but comfy), good food and an extremely pleasant and welcoming host: Branko.


Well worth a visit.

Its a paradise amidst amazing mountains with lots of outdoor activities around. The food, rooms and the staff are super nice and very helpful. It's place to stay in Stavna and to explore the mountains and forests around.

Amazing hospitality

If you love nature this is the perfect place to visit. Fresh air and beautiful views. Hosts are very nice and rooms are clean. Food is ecological and tasty!  You can have a horse ride tour in the mountains.

I love i!

There is no better place to explore Komovi mountains. I would not call the cabins comfort however you have all what you need to spend nights there and not only. A double bed at the first floor and 4 single beds at the second floor. The bathroom is separate and you need some experience to make the water warm but the boiler works and you can take a hot shower. We spent 2 nights Sept/October there [very cold outside] but there is a wood stove in the cabin and make the whole space warm. There are not many kitchen equipment [see the pictures] and no electric kettle but in the restaurant we got boiled water for the thermos to make tea.
