Edgar will give you the best Sea Tonic experience. He is knowledgeable, kind and hospitable. It’s a great deal for an open bar. You can connect your own bluetooth to play your own music. Everyone is very helpful and kind. Do it! It’s relaxing and 100% worth it.

Loved the Sea Tonic!

Really liked the Lazy River Pool!  Actually all the pools and Giant beach(s). Wish they would enforce more the rule of people not just leaving their stuff unattended on the pool lounge chairs for really long periods of time. Made it pretty hard to find a open pool lounge chair.

Much of the non front desk staff didn't speak much English but there were wonderful exceptions such as the Front of House Hostess "Dailet" at the Tramonto Steak House & Ola Mulata. I'd say she had a near perfect understanding of the English language as well as American customs.  Dailet was also super helpful and pleasant in addressing other concerns than the food. And believe it or not she knew how to read and write cursive English which turned out to be unusually necessary.

All in all a most wonderful stay. Believe our family/relatives/friends will really enjoy their 9th year in a row stay in late November 2024.

Lazy River Pool Rocks! And ocourse the beaches do to.

2nd visit and there’s been some changes.  Service is always very good and the staff is always acknowledging and friendly to people.  The sales people aren’t quite as friendly.  No “good morning” etc., unless of course they are trying to sell to you.  Shout out to 2 of the best people at the Grand Mayan pool.  Christian M. is so much fun and such a friendly person.  He made our pool activities lots of fun after all the water aerobics are finished.  Our bartender Roberto was always ready to serve our group and also very friendly.  The bartender’s work very hard, as do the grounds people who deserve to be acknowledged here.

**Please review your bill at checkout.  The hidden charge for “donation” pissed me off.  We had this removed.  Checkout ALSO tried to charge us a much higher amount and did not acknowledge our prepayment of $7000.  How can a check out person not know that we prepaid money!?  it just blows my mind that they can get unsuspecting people to pay whatever they put on that bill.  They found the $7000 prepayment, but c’mon! 

***2 things to know when planning.  
-If you pre-pay, you are given additional money to put toward your vacation so consider prepayment and put your dollar to work. 
-Also, if you have a party of six people or more, you can get up to six people for breakfast at the buffets with 15% off vouchers. Just ask the hostess for the 15% tickets.

Overall, the resort is beautiful and well kept, and everybody works hard to please you (except sales people).  The breakfast buffets have such an abundance of choices to choose from.  There really was no food that we got that we didn’t like.

We went in mid-late August and had no problems getting reservations.  Have a great time, and don’t be enticed to stay anywhere else on the resort except at The Grand Mayan.  You will have a wonderful time here.

All the staff were very helpful and accommodating really enjoyed the pools and the service the concierge really helped us out when my wife got injured and we were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation and Ricardo Centeno was the best pool concierge

Edgar at Sea Tonic was amazing. We had a great experience because of him. Sea Tonic around Vidanta resorts. It gave us the opportunity to get to know the resort and made it easier to get around.  This is a must see attraction. Highly recommended! Woot woot!!!
