We were two couples traveling together.  This apartment had 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.  The living room was very nicely furnished, the kitchen was well equipped, and the apartment was very clean.  The apartment was located in the Old Town area of Riga near shopping, restaurants, and beautiful buildings and churches. The primary downside of this apartment was that the bathroom was located in the master bedroom, making it less convenient for 2 couples and much more suitable for a family with 2 children.  I would recommend this apartment to families.  Don't be put off by the exterior of the building.

Well Located Apartment with a Budget Price

The address given in the reservation wasn't the address of the apartment, and there was noone at the address provided when I arrived. However I got a very friendly lady on the phone with the number that was provided in the booking and within 10min someone showed up to take me to the apartment. The apartment was located on the 6th floor - no elevator - and was very old and a bit musty. However it was clean. I had the feeling that the normal inhabitant had moved out in order for me to stay there. It was OK for one night but I would recommend a hotel instead of this apartment.

Old but clean apartment

Very disappointing introduction to Latvia.  Poor communication from start to finish.  Owner sent a friend who arrived late to let us in and take the money with no receipt.  That is the last we saw of anyone.  Flat old, smelly (mould in shower room) and hot,  No 'patio' as advertised. Disgusting old bed and pillows that smelt, light broken in shower room and no response when we texted owner.  Hopeless text communication regarding hand-over of keys and we nearly missed our bus waiting endlessly for someone who never turned up.  Cutlery and crockery dirty.  Things left in fridge etc.  Not good enough.
