Sawa Sawa is a very nice little guest house. Rooms are basic but comfortable. No aircon but they are in the process of installing. Lovely gardens and pool and Swahili style decor. Good food, pleasant staff. Overall very good value. Only downside is the constant harassment by beach boys who sit right outside the hotel and try and engage with you as you are trying to relax on your sunbed.

Best Hotel in Msambweni Kenya

Sawa Sawa Beach House is an ideal family vacation spot. The beach is not only stunning but also family-friendly. Best place in Msambweni. Lovely simple architecture. Good value for money. Easy going but professionally run. Stacey, Ezekiel, the cook and the other staff made us feel like human beings rather than tourists and helped us with all our questions and let us otherwise be. Msambweni is quiet. No kites. But next to no restaurants (that tourists would consider) either. We stayed a few days here and a few days in the Diani Beach area (which far more developed). That mix worked for us very well.

Ezegiel and Maurice made this stay fantastic. 

The resort is very cosy, nice rooms and an excellent location on the beach. Lovely.
But the service is wat makes this location outstanding!

Wat a lovely little resort with excellent service!

The hotel is beautiful inside, very picturesque and romantic. We were quickly greeted and showed around as well as being given a welcome drink. 

- The hotel is very small which made it feel intimate. 
- Ezekiel was very helpful and good-natured. The rooms are somewhat basic but had everything necessary. 
- The communal areas are well kept and clean. 
- The outside food offering was pretty good, but service could sometimes be a little slow/ disjointed. 
- The beach does have a lot of weeds but it was lovely to sit on the loungers and just relax.
- Very peaceful, the perfect place to relax.
- Great price (note that cards are not accepted).
- We had a great stay, and would definitely come again if in the area.

Little gem of a hotel

This place is an amazing place, i feel at Home and Peace whenever i come to Sawa Sawa. I give thanks to Miss Wanga and Ezekial this Guys are amazing especially on my Birthday. Continue with the good Work Guys, my wife and i Had an awesome stay here, and before i forget i will miss your good food thanks and God Bless you.

Birthday and Anniversary

I just spent a month at SawaSawa Beach House.

What a wonderful stay I've had at SawaSawa! It's such a fantastic place in beautiful surroundings. 

My hosts were staff members Ezekiel and Humphrey. 

From the first to the last moment of my stay, they both made me feel welcome and at home. 

Both are very empathetic, hospitable and professional.

While Humphrey cooks delicious food, Ezekiel is the perfect host. Both work tirelessly from early till late.

I would choose a month in their care anytime. 

Already looking forward to my next visit!



Wonderful place and people

SawaSawa Beach House is one of the absolute most beautiful venues I ever stayed in (and I travel a lot). Located near Ukunda but just far enough away from the tourist-craze, it is a heaven on earth. The pool is super nice, the rooms are big and comfortable, the beach is beautiful, white and without people and the food is outstanding!! But, and this I believe is what makes SawaSawa so special: The staff is just so extremely adorable! Everyone, the owners, Susane, Ezekiel, the chef, the cleaning ladies, etc. really make your stay so special. We will definitely return and we thank the staff for making our stay here so wunderful. Thank you guys!

Heaven on Earth

Sawa Sawa Beach House is tucked away in msambweni, right on the beach. Getting there was bit of a hustle because there is no signage on road. Google maps took us to the wrong place. So we had to call the host to direct us until we arrived. On arrival we were well received by Jan (the owner), Ezekiel & Maria (his staff). They helped us settle in. The beds were comfortable, clean toiletries. The floor in all our rooms were not clean. The next day during breakfast our mixed tea was brought in 2 dirty looking thermos flasks. The mugs were also not clean. On one day they ran out of sausages 😐.... The breakfast was ok but the service was so uncoordinated. The meals were well made and were tasty. We all loved the home made meals. The beach is clean and there are no nuisance beach boys. It's a hidden gem. Beautiful, quiet during the day, very little human traffic. This was really nice. The mornings were especially good - woken up by roaring thundering sound of waves that called for morning walks on the serene beach. Wi-Fi works perfectly. No televisions which was good - forced us to have conversations. We were almost always alone in the hotels pool. The pillow cases in the public areas need frequent laundering. They were not clean. 
Overally, it's a beautiful small quiet home away from home and I will definitely be going back. However they need to do some routine maintenance on the facility and improve on cleanliness of rooms, utensils and pillow/cushion cases.
